What does the new shop in China improve other than price and quality?
Better communication, better consistency, faster turnaround. We recently sent them a new design and had anodized prototypes in our hands in less than a week! Working with them has been an absolute joy. And I can't say enough good things about the quality. It's always been our top priority. -Steve

I have a aqua bonfire, btw that i live it's amazing, and I have a friend that works at a metal shop. So could I just do basic bread blasting to get that perfect finger grind surface?
Most metal shops just have sand blasting which is totally different and would ruin your surface finish. The perfect surface comes from anodizing and you'd have to have your throw stripped and re-anodized which will most likely induce vibe. If you want a good finish for finger grinds just try to get a Manatee. -Chris

i've noticed that some of your newer models like the blizzard and igloo have ridges in the center of them. Does this serve any purpose, or is it just for aesthetics?
Mainly just looks. For Blizzard it helps a little for getting the rim weight where we want it. For the Igloo it was actually a happy accident. Wasn't supposed to be there, but we liked it so we kept it for production. -Chris

Now that CLYW has Return tops made in China, How does the quality of China made models compare to your USA/Canada Made models? Is possible to say its on par or not even close? (btw I really love my Manatee thanks!)
Not gonna lie, I'm super confused that you ended this question with "I really love my Manatee" ha ha. Seems like you've got a front row seat to be able to tell how the quality compares! We wouldn't put our name on it if we didn't stand behind it. And we're getting WAY fewer b-grades from China than we've ever gotten from USA/Canada, which is astounding. We're amazingly happy with the quality from China, other than a couple of early hiccups while we figured out what we were doing. The Manatee run had, I believe, no b-grades at all. Which might actually be a first for CLYW. -Steve

Yep, all the new stuff will be available at retailers. Some of it we might even be able to pull off releasing simultaneously at retailers so that the people who aren't at Worlds can buy at the same time. Not 100% sure we'll be able to pull that off, though, so please don't hate me if the timing doesn't quite work out! -Steve

My first post here.. Chris, I started collecting CLYW return tops a few years back and was late to the game.. luckily I managed to scoop up some of the oldies and still experience the growth of CLYW.. though retrospectively.. it's been such an amazing journey.. can't wait for what's in store!!!
