I know people keep asking about the yeti and I'm sorry if someone already asked this. How much notice will you give before the release? I want to be able to get some money in time! Also Will you give notice for the people on the mailing list?

We'll give as much notice as we can! That kind of depends on how fast our assembly folks get them put together...at this point we're obviously trying to get them out the door as fast as humanly possible.
Regarding the mailing list, Canada passed some new laws about how email marketing works and how people have to opt-in to mailing lists. Not a big deal, but it means I need to carve out some time to send out a new blast to our list and ask everyone to opt-in again. Chris and I are going to try and get that done this week so that we can start doing email newsletters again just to keep people up to date on CLYW stuff. Wow, that was way too much information, wasn't it? Short answer: yes, we will let the email list know ha ha. -Steve

What do players mean when they say a return top is floaty or solidt? And based on that definition, would you consider the Orca floaty or solid?

It's a pretty loose term, mostly thrown around by people who read it on a forum and just decided that must be the best way to describe things.
The feel of "floaty" or "solid" has more to do with weight distribution than actual weight. A return top that is really heavily rim weighted will play heavier, while a return top with the weight more evenly distributed will play lighter. So "solid" and "floaty" for whatever reason became the terms that people used to describe those. Adding to the confusion, it's completely a matter of taste as to how a return top feels. I once heard Paul Dang describe all of our return tops as playing way heavier than One Drops, while I think that all of One Drop's return tops play way heavier than ours. André and I frequently have conversations where we realize that with two notable exceptions (The Chief and the C3 Mo-Vitation) we absolutely hate each other's taste in return tops and don't agree on how anything plays.
So, when I say "sure, it's floaty" what I'm really saying is "jeez dude, I have no idea but I just picked up one and threw it around a little and sure, feels well balanced to me so maybe you'll think it's 'floaty' too, I guess?"
Sorry. Just trying to be honest with ya. -Steve

What "competition" return tops do you guys make? Like ones that have the performance that a contest requires. I Have an AC2 and a Puffin 2. Just wanna know about the others.

Advance Scout & Scout, Orca, Sasquatch, Puffin 2, Bonfire.

Omg I got my gnarwhal 2 maiderade it's my first Brand spanken new CLYW and is so sick! CLYW ID THE BRST. WEHN are yeti's dropping?

Yay! Glad you like it!!
Yetis are hopefully dropping this month! -Steve

deciding what I should get orca or ac2 what ya think I like long spinning throws, solid, floaty

From a player standpoint, the Orca is going to be more stable. From a collector standpoint, the next run of AC2 is the last run ever. -Steve

Yeti in 10 minutes? OR like month? Also when do Yoyo fly off? When yeti?

I think we'll have them out the door this month. -Steve

Does the teti play smooth and slow? I know it is oversized, but what play style is it suited to? I play slow, flowy, and technical.

The Yeti is a pretty solid all-around player so it should fit pretty much any style. -Steve

Will the next batc of Chiefs be released by May? :)

They are being machined now, so more likely that you'll see them in March. -Steve

Where are the 5 panels going to be released?

They should be available at YoYoExpert and other fine retailers. I have a handful here too, that I'll add to the CLYW store. -Steve

What return tops can we see shark vs zombie beaver on in the future?

We're running a test on the Avalanche first, and we'll see how those turn out before we run it on other models. -Steve

Orca by February 28?

I kinda love the way everyone basically asks "Will this return top be available before my brithday?" without actually *saying* it's their birthday. -Steve
