Summit or scout? Main differences?
Well, the main difference is that they are two completely different return tops. :P
Aside from being two completely different return tops, they also have different diameters, widths, weights, and profiles. One has an internally machined axle system, the other has the Side Effects replaceable axle system. One was designed by CLYW to the specs of a team member, the other was designed by CLYW and One Drop as a collaborative effort.
They're both round, and they both have the same response and bearing. That's about all they have in common, really. They look, feel, throw, and play different. Both are stable and long spinning. Both will do pretty much anything you want. I personally prefer the Scout as a general player, although I really like the Summit for 5A. (Flat rims and extra width are what I tend towards for counterweight play.) -Steve
