Do you guys know if you get points lost in a contest if you use different color string or yoyos in 3a?

There are no point considerations for the color of your string. -Steve

Are you able to do horizontal finger grinds with the nubs on clyw yoyos? If you can what is the best way to do it?

Best bet is to use the Puffin 2...the nubs are tiny and stay out of your way. -Steve

Do you think there'll be another wacky return top like the Glacier Express or Cliff coming out from you guys soon? Your recent models seem to be mostly player editions that lie within similar sizes and shapes, just wondering if/when you're next going to hop outside that box and try something wild..?

Probably when we have another wild idea. Right now we're focusing on making sure we have the best possible equipment for our team to keep kicking so much butt. -Steve

For making a fixed axle do I have to use a short axle? Like for the bonfire. And does YYF short axles work?

No idea about YYF axles, but I don't recommend trying since you might screw something up. But yes, sorry I didn't mention that before...use the CLYW short axles when playing your return tops without a bearing to use as a fixed axle. -Steve

Chris! What happened to the try of your peaks?!? You had over 10!!

I sold a few through the b-grade store last year. - Chris

Can i have a lock of yeti's hair? I'm not weird or anything....

Sorry we can't find him right now. Otherwise yes you could! - Chris

I hope you guys do make a 28 stories chief on the next run! THEY'RE SO BEAUTIFUL! Well... all your throws and colorways are beautiful! hehehe :)

Thank you!!! :) -Chris

About how many of the questions you get do you answer

Pretty much all of them, except for the weird ones that are really mean. We just delete those. Because well they're rude and those people should feel bad for having such dark thoughts. - Chris

why are some 28 stories' blue shades darker than others?

Anodizing is not perfect and there are so many factors that can affect color tone. Our guy just can't hit it exactly the same each time. Wish they could. - Chris

The Sasquatch doesn't look like it has big rims, or particularly much more material on the rims than most of your designs. What made it so stable?

The shape and the wide rims at the outer diameter and smaller catch zone. Helps maximize on more material further out at the rims. But then you get the smaller catch zone. It's a catch 22. - Chris

1.I heard the colored yetis play different than the black ones. 2.Is this true? 3.What is the difference in play? Vibe? I like the purple one but also want the best playing color.

Slightly different material so the density is different. I like how the colored ones play better. - Chris

http://ask.fm/CLYWOfficial/answer/125855688640 sorry I meant zach.

Ah! "A new direction" as in we aren't just going to make another Arctic Circle...he wants something different, so we're designing him a completely different return top. Sorry, that wasn't meant to be some kind of fancy code for "we're kicking him off the team because he's too good and makes Steve feel insecure about the value of his return top tricks". I just literally meant "No more Arctic Circle, we're going in a different direction with return top design for him". -Steve

Anything in Maideraide?

Seriously at this point, we have SO MUCH being anodized right now across three different places, it's all we can do to remember what is where, let alone what specific colorways we ordered. Sorry folks, you're just gonna have to wait for color info once things start arriving. -Steve
