CLYW has taken over my life, I go on the computer everyday to look at deals, hurry up and retire already god dammit

Calm down there, captain. They're just return tops. I mean yeah, they're pretty darn cool return tops but...priorities.

You guys should really give the black with pink speckle a name, it's just simply stunning. Onece I saw the Wooly Marmont 2 picture on Instagram I knew i just had to have it. I did my research on the return top and decided it fit my play style and went for it. It Just looks better in person.

I know...it really did turn out beautifully. Just haven't quite settled on the right name yet.

will Petr's yoyo be out by August 29 ? or a day early atleast. i wanna pick one up for my bday

Absolutely not. The first prototypes will be landing in his hands at IYYC this coming weekend...that's the FIRST time he'll touch the return top! Still need to get his feedback, make his changes, do another round of prototyping, get his approval, schedule the machine time, schedule the anodizing, then deal with assembly, new box stamps, and some other things that need to be lined up for the release.
It's a lot of work, bringing a new return top to market.

any news on b-grade store almost a month late lol

No news. I know Steve has been busy gearing up to leave for Worlds, and Chris has been busy with work and babies and dealing with other CLYW stuff.

i've heard that if you're older (late 20's) and/or overweight that your chances of doing well professionally diminish since your style/wardrobe/etc makes a big impact during performances. is this true? should we be going on diets? haha.

Well really, anyone overweight should make an effort to eat healthier, exercise, and make sure there are no underlying medical conditions causing the weight gain that require something more than diet and exercise to manage. Everyone should make the effort to be healthy. That's just a good idea in general.
Whether or not you feel like you should worry about that for the sake of your return top career is a completely separate conversation. If you want to build a return top career for yourself, be an amazing player and performer. Be a great teacher. Learn to light, shoot, and edit video properly and present yourself like a professional. Be helpful on forums and avoid talking smack, in person or online. Present yourself well. Work on your tricks, attend as many contests as you can, and make a name for yourself as a player with your abilities and your attitude.
Best piece of performing advice I've ever gotten is this: always look better than your audience. That was specifically given in reference to outfit/costume, FYI, but take it as you will.
YETI OUT.

are the 2 dots under the logs meant to mean something like fools gold or is it a engraving flaw ?

That's an engraving flaw. :(

I just got my ninja hurdles WM2 and I can't believe how tiny it is. I knew it was undersized, but woooow. It's hard to explain how it plays, but it feels fluffy on the string. Super fun! I love it. Sad I didn't get the MF Doom box art, though! Any chance of releasing that art as desktop wallpaper?

Hrm...hadn't considered that, but it's a good idea. I'll talk it over with Chris...maybe we'll add a download section to the new website when its done.

I don't know where else to say this... But anyways: I really effing love your tops! I just got my 6th, a wm2 and I can't even pick a favorite. You guys make a premium product that seems to sometimes even make the yoyo community together. Please tell everyone cooped up in that cabin: thank you!

Wow...thanks a ton!

The shape of the Wooly Marmot 2 reminds me of an eggcup. That's it. I just wanted to throw that thought out there.

Hadn't really considered it. Now I'm going to eat an egg out of one and see how that works out.

I'm a yeti. I live in the woods. So technically if you are camping....you ARE crashing at my place.

Is there an official name for the Black W/ Pink splash colorway on the new WM2? I think you guys should name it Dinosaur Egg.

Klisk
No official name yet. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

The WM2 comes with a 10ball now, yeah? The YYE page lists it as center trac. What's up wit DAAAAT? Which bearing does Jensen use?

YYE page is out of date, still listing the bearing from the first run. Email them them and point it out. Make sure to end your email with "neener neener neener". They love that.

My solid gold Marmot 2 has a couple tiny little white dots in the anno. Is this something i need to be concerned about? Or is it just like whateves.

It's purely cosmetic. Sorry that got through our assembly line unnoticed! If it really bugs you, contact the store you bought it from...but really, we recommend you just beat the heck out of it. ;)

Just got my Blizzard Splash WM2, it's amazing! Such a good compliment to my Chief :) I was wondering, do you guys clean your new CTX bearing to get the lube out or just play them how they come? I'm seeing mixed opinions online, seems like the bearing you guys include spins a bit longer than CTX

Our new 10-ball has a thinner lube from the factory, so the break-in time is shorter. Enjoy!

Chuck what are your favorite music genres/bands? I love everything in the cabin tutorials!

thanks!
I love a variety of genres. Recently it's been more hiphop; there's allot of good new stuff but I always go back to the golden era of the ninities. I listen to some rock, indie, electronic stuff (allot of bands are kind of cross over now)... The classics or course, Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles, etc.

If someone works hard, places in a few competitions, and really gets their name out there what are the chances of them getting sponsored?

Those are very vague measurements! Our team is very full already, but if we were to pick someone it would just be based on their skill/style, community influence/contribution, and if they're a good person or not!
