Paul and I just wanted to make our dream throw. Plus I had a lot of artistic energy I needed to get out. To us the Peak meant the best, the top, the ultimate throw, our dream throw.
The Yeti achieved my final goal. I always wanted to make a plastic and I did. Before that was being able to do CLYW full time and I did that for about 3 years.
Jensen started the box art. We just used to put our logo on top. Anti-Yo was a big influence for that. But Jensen just ran with it and created a lot of the story behind clyw.
I was driving to work one day and thought of Elk Lodge YoYoWorks. I always wanted works to be included in a company name. Elk Lodge came from being canadian and I loved the imagery behind it. Since Elk lodge was a veterans group I felt Caribou Lodge would be better since it is also a bit more silly. Paul and Levi liked it so we did it. I prob would have called clyw CLYYW but Paul liked the single Y.
To answer your last question. Just work your butt off. Be unique. Have fun. Make videos. Get well known. Everything else will just happen.

so i was tried to make new silicon respons for the sasquach yoyo but i have not so that i can find no more silicons. can i be filling the grooves with black caulk??
Do not do it!!! Go find some permatex windshield silicone asap. - Chris

Last january I emailed you guys to ask when youre going to release more yetis, you said 2 weeks. After 2 weeks i emailed you guys again to ask the same question, then you said 2 more months. You're almost 8 months late. Lol. By the way. I love CLYW. Thanks for everything Chris!
Ya, I just couldn't handle the day to day demand of clyw anymore and had to move all the responsibilities to other people and unfortunately this really affected the Yeti since it is such an involved beast to assemble. But we're on it now so hopefully we get some out before Christmas. - Chris

I think you should totally do a series of posts about the stories of how each member joined the team - maybe even past players that aren't on the team anymore, just because I love knowing CLYW history. Also aren't krullers the best doughnuts?

Chris, have you had your eye on any up and coming companies? Any of them mention worthy?
I like the original Sorry YoYos Logo a lot. A lot of their marketing is kind of too edgy for me. The Ratchet plays well for a first release, Inner edges a little sharp for my taste. But ya not sure who else, I like that company that is doing all the 3D printed stuff. Wish their were more companies like them doing new and more interesting/risky stuff to push Yoyo technology further. - Chris

I'm from saudi arabia , and i just yoyoing about 2 years , i'm bot good at yoyoing like every one like in us or JP , I practice a loooot , i don't have any friend they play yoyo :( , i thinking to stop yoyo :'(
Don't quit!!! I used to be the only yoyoer in Edmonton for a while. The last guy who won WCR was the only yoyoer in his town. The first Yoyoers he ever met were at that contest. Nuts! - Chris
