If you use onedrop or the Canada shop to make a super high end TITANIUM CHIEF... I will buy at least 2. Make them limited and numbered and awesome OMG PLEASE I'll pay you now price isn't an issue with these
For that matter, what do you think of delrin? it seems to be gaining quite a bit of tractiom with designers, and the accuracy provided over polycarbonate seems quite promising to me.
Meh. New Yetis are quite smooth, the issue with PC is that you have to design for manufacturing, not just play. I have never liked the feel of Delrin though. It just feels unfinished to me, or they play like a rock: Exception: Core Co YoYos (omg I love what they are doing!). Delrin has always been popular though, not really something that is gaining popularity. -Chris
are the yetis arriving this week tested for play already ?
Most are, yes. Manufacturing went really well with these. So we may not have to test every single one. -Chris
How does the Chief and Compass compare in terms of play?
Compass has more stability and longer spin time. Feels a little more solid. -Chris
What is "breaking in a bearing" and how do you know when that happens?
Usually our new bearings come slightly lubed. This extends the life of the bearing. But the draw back is that the return top will play responsive for a while. So you have to play your throw for a while to get it to be unresponsive. I usually just throw lots of long hard sleepers to do this. Sometimes it takes 2min, sometimes 2 days. -Chris
I had a yeti for about 4 months, so I decided to take the bearing out and clean it, and shit I cracked the bearing seat. Is sanding going to help?
Nope. It's pretty much a paper weight now unless you can find a modder who can fix it. Buy a Yeti 2.0 when they come out! -Chris
