Could you provide some explanation of what "pulse vibe" is? Somehow the many bonfires / WM2 I've tried seem to be generally more vibey than the Chiefs? It was told to some CLYW owners that the "pulse vibe" was due to the inherent design of the yoyo. The Japanese somehow always get it right though.

Pulse vibe is a result of a design that has too much concentrated rim weight for it to be stable. If the weight is pushed too far out to far edge of the return top, you'll get a vibe that "pulses", hence the name.
We haven't found any problems with WM2s or Bonfires, and certainly no problems with pulse vibe. Neither of those designs are prone to that, so you've gotten some bad information from people who don't seem to understand the terminology they're using.
And no, the Japanese do not "always get it right". I've got a stack of return tops here that prove otherwise, ha ha. Sorry to burst that bubble, but good return top designers get it right, and their nationality is irrelevant. -Steve

Saw a photo that you reposted of all the yeti colors. How can I get a translucent blue yeti? Who are "yoyophotoraphy"?? How did they get the blue yeti?

No idea who that is, but they probably just found the photo.
Translucent blue was only run during the prototyping process while we determined what kind of plastic we were going to use. Here's a better look at it:

Why are you discontinuing the AC2? IT'S TOO AWESOME. It was even used to get a national title, win PNWR, place top 5 at worlds, and a few others. Why can't it stay in your line-up like the Avalanche does?

Zach is ready for something else, so it's time for something else.
Plus, where did you guys come from all of a sudden? The AC2 has always been one of our slowest-selling models. Why didn't everyone love it before? You guys are KILLING me! First everyone gets all hinky on the Sasquatch out of the blue, and now the AC2? Killing me! -Steve

Thoughts on the ceramic Konklave bearing compared to regular?

I don't like or use konkave bearings. They always snag for me. -Steve

Was there a difference between the first and second/third run puffin 2? I know that the first was Canadian made, and I wasn't a huge fan of it

Different machine shop, as you just said. -Steve

Were the latest run of Chiefs/Gnarwhal 2s/WM2 anodized by a different anodizer from the Bonfire/Puffin 2s? The mask seems to be applied differently giving a very "spotty" look.

Nope. Same anodizer. See what I mean about inconsistent? -Steve

Do you guys offer anything to fans who get your logo tattooed?

No, we don't.
Here's why: If someone is going to go full-guns and get a CLYW tattoo, we want to make sure they are making this permanent decision for their own reasons, and not because of the lure of some free goodies or special treatment. We love love LOVE our fans who choose to do this, but we love even more that they are doing it for themselves, and not for any external reasons. We don't want to offer up some kind of a "bounty" that ends up luring people into making a decision they'll regret later. If you're going to do it, do it because you love it and for no reason other than that. -Steve

The "gold nugget" colorway is supposed to be yellow with black splash but became speckles in the latest run of Gnarwhal 2s. The "berry berry" colorway on the newest run of WM2 is also inaccurate - shouldn't it be purple and pink acid wash?

1. Anodizing is inconsistent. The only thing you can count on is that you can't count on it.
2. The new Berry Berry looks pretty spot-on to me, amazingly enough. It's still a wash, but looks like they splashed the wash a little.

When is the new Steve Brown sig coming out?? Roll Model Eh addition?

Ha ha...no sig for me. We've got a whole team full of amazing players who deserve it waaaaaay more than me. -Steve

What is Jensen's setup since he isn't on the team it doesn't say on the team setup post.

Jensen currently uses a Sasquatch and whatever string is handy. He's not a fancy man. -Steve

fools golds yoyos play too good. you should whack them all with a hammer to ensure that they vibe a bit.

Funny thing is, when people get a Fool's Gold that's *almost* perfect, they're shocked that it's Fool's Gold. When people get a regular return top that's *almost* perfect, they are outraged and disappointed and they rush to Facebook to tell everyone how our quality is slipping since Steve Brown came on board and remember when CLYW used to be amazing and bring back Chikn Strips.
We can't win. But we'll keep on trying. ;) -Steve

What company makes the string that comes stock with new clyw throws? Is it the same string one drop uses with their throws?

We use Kitty String Fat. -Steve
