Why not run more contests? Let's say you spend $15 total to make a big dipper- I don't know what your price margin is but this is just an example-. Contests are a great way to get more brand recognition. Wouldn't you say that $15 is worth acquiring even one new customer?
Hey how do I develop flow when I'm yoyoing and when coming up with private learning new tricks how do I remember them? I'm in a skill rut. I'm not getting any better and I look like a clumsy fool when I'm yoyoing. Also will losing weight help with my yoyoing?
It's a matter of repetition, something that many players aren't especially good at. It's matter of not just learning how to do the trick, but blasting through it over and over and over, paying attention to and refining each and every mount and transition until they all flow seamlessly into each other. And learning that if you have elements that simply will not blend, to get rid of them. Flow is as much about what you omit as anything else. -Steve
Steve for how long per year are you clean shaven?I feel as if I have never(absolutely never) seen you without a beard
Depends. I tend to shave off everything but the moustache when the weather warms up. I've always had a problem with overheating, so I tend of be fairly clean shaven during the summer...although summer in Ohio doesn't last all that long, ha ha. -Steve
How does the blizzard play in comparison to the borealis?
The Borealis is about as close as you can get to bi-metal performance in a mono-metal return top...that was Zach and Chris' intent from the start. That said, you can't truly replicate the additional spin time and stability that you get from a good combination of aluminum and stainless steel. The Blizzard brings just a *little bit more* than the Borealis in terms of what you need to get through a high-level competitive routine. -Steve
Out of curiosity, would anyone on the team get in trouble, if they play with yoyos from other companies? Casually? How does this work if your sponsored?
Chris and I play with return tops from other companies, and frequently take to social media to applaud other companies when we think they are doing something unique and cool. We fully expect our team to support the industry as a whole, and I think they understand that while they have an expectation to help us promote CLYW, that doesn't preclude them from being able to enjoy the fantastic level of choice and quality we have in the yoyo industry at the moment. While we're on the subject, shout-outs to Axis, Recess, and Luftverk for being awesome young companies that are really coming in to their own. Nice job you guys. -Steve
Besides the campfire has CLYW ever had a production model weighing under 65 grams?
Not to my knowledge. -Steve
Hahaha didn't you say people could have like any free CLYW yoyo they wanted on February 29th? Well, it's here! xD I remember that from a loonggg time ago
Hey Steve , do you know yoyoers who have been good in short time ? Thanks !
Plenty of people get really good really quickly. Guy Wright was showing a stunning amount of talent after a short amount of time, same for Takumi Nagase who, I believe, had only been playing for a year or two when he won 1999 Worlds. -Steve
Do you know any Korean player except Paul han?
I'm sure I've met a few here and there, but I generally don't ask people what their nationality is upon meeting them. I knew Paul Han for a decade before someone told me he was Korean. It's just not something I ask people...we're all return top players, that's generally good enough for me unless we're talking about something that is specific to where they live. -Steve
Are there plans for an Arctic Circle 3? Or should I be on the lookout for a used AC2?
Nope. The Arctic Circle is done...on to the Borealis and Big Dipper! -Steve
