I already own the borealis and chief-what clyws should i get next?

If you want something that feels close in terms of play, then go for a Scout. If you want something that doesn't feel anything at all like those two, get a Sasquatch or an Orca. -Steve

Definitely, and it has been since we released it. We shoot Cabin Tutorials in batches...so a single player will shoot 10+ tutorials at a time. Which means if they don't have their own signature model to use, we end up with 10+ tutorials of them using whatever they are digging at the time. But yeah...our team loves the Scout! -Steve

All of them.
Seriously though, yeah, some designs start from the perspective of a contest player who wants X or Y in a signature return top. But just because something was designed to work for competition play doesn't mean you can't just huck it around and pay no attention to it and goof off and have fun. It's not like return tops are either "contest" or "fun" and there's no crossover.
Just throw whatever you like, whatever feels good to you, and enjoy playing! -Steve

What do you think of YYE's new site??

It's soooo much better. Trying to use their old site on mobile was like trying to put out a trash fire with wishes and Gatorade. So great to see they've finally gotten this finished....I know they've been working on it for a while! I'm sure André is still tweaking and adding stuff, but it's a massive leap forward for them and as both a manufacturer and a customer, it's appreciated! -Steve

Solid color Manatees coming soon, but that's it. Solids just aren't doing well on the higher end stuff lately. -Steve

Nothing scheduled, but I was just talking to Chris about it the other day and I think that will be our next Canada production run. -Steve

I know that this is a question that may not have an answer for a while, but do you know the pricing range for your collab throws? I really want to pick one up when they drop, but I'm afraid that the price will be too high. Also, Thanks for answering all our answers!

Hey guys , why mark don't yoyoing alot ? Is he busy with other stuff ?

He's actually been throwing a fair bit, and I was just talking to him today about getting him more string and plans for Worlds. He's crazy stoked on the new Yeti, and I'm working on getting samples from the factory to him and the rest of the team super early so they can start filming with them. But everyone on the team works or goes to school, so they're all busy with one thing of another, and sometimes that stuff takes up more time. It's all good. -Steve

Are the Orcas in the new colorway equipped with a KonKave bearing? Or still the CTX?

Yes, I believe these have concave bearings (licensed from Dif-E-Yo). -Steve

whats the colorway name of the greenish speckled manetee from BAC? and will that color be included in the first official release

You know, I don't think we've named it yet. Whoops. We'll cook up a name soon! Not sure yet which colors will be in the first release, sorry! But we should be finalizing all those details really soon. :) -Steve

The stuff you guys have planned for your 10 year anniversary...would it be available online or would it be a worlds/other physical contests only thingy?

Blizzard is more powerful, while the Scout is more finesse. Both were designed for members of our team who compete a lot, but Blizzard definitely gives you more OOMPH on stage. -Steve

Which clyw yoyo's do you expect will come out in the next month or so?

Manatee will be available this month! We just dropped a really great batch of Orcas (made in Canada, and they play amazing) that you can find in stores right now. -Steve

Chris when will we have more yoyos from Onedrop? The recent releases have been disappointing.

Really sorry that you feel that way. We've been super happy with the quality of the Borealis and Orca run at our shop in Canada, and have had almost no b-grades at all. The Blizzard and the Igloo turned out absolutely amazing and again, almost no b-grades at all. We had a bit of a hiccup with the bearing seats, but we've fixed that and it won't be a problem on any future runs. The Manatee is super awesome, the response from the pre-release was 100% positive and again...killer quality for a production run, and almost no b-grades.
Basically, with our new production, we're getting the best quality we've ever had, the lowest scrap and return rate we've ever had, and Chris is cranking out some of the best designs in the history of CLYW. We're happy, our team is happy, and (most of) our fans are happy. We think we're doing pretty good! Sorry that we're not living up to your standards. If you'd like to email me (thelodge@clyw.ca) with some more specific criticism I'd be happy to talk to you more about what we can do to win you back. :) -Steve

Totally! Once we get past Worlds and our schedule lightens up a little (when you see what we're dropping at Worlds you'll understand), I would really love to do some cool "best trick" contests on the CLYW site. We could let the fans vote and give away some neat stuff. We have an idea for a super cool online freestyle contest, but it's going to be a little while before we have time to put it all together. -Steve
