I just saw your new Orca splashes! Is Lost in Space new?

Lost in Space is brand new, and so is the Harrison Hurricane Fade. It's a fade splash variation on the regular Harrison Hurricane colorway, which will still be produced. -Steve

When do the splash orcas on the CLYW fb page release? Or is it undecided?

We are hoping to release this week, but need to finalize a couple of details first. -Steve

Just want to let you know I'm totally in support of overseas manufacturing :) . Quick question though. If you machine it there, are they still going to be tumbled in OD's Pyramatte, or are you going to use a new tumbler?

If we produce anything overseas, we won't be doing a tumbled finish at all. Probably blasted. -Steve

current chief specs?

I don't have any of the most recent run in front of me to confirm, but we're dropping some more soon and our retailers will update the specs on their sites when they arrive. -Steve

Can you describe the differences between the ac1 and ac2? Thanks

Well, you can compare specs for the two of them side by side here: http://www.clyw.ca/pages/clywmparison
Beyond that, the biggest difference is the removal of the secondary rim and the changing of the weight distribution. It's amazing how much of a difference a shift in weight distribution can make. -Steve

Steve, you are awesome. I can't wait for your (CLYW's)upcoming releases. The scrutiny about overseas production is quite silly. For a while most of the return tops featured no engraving. Now they're back. Is this a new point of emphasis?

Thanks for the support!
We've been adding the engravings for one simple reason: we like the way they look! Art has always been a huge part of CLYW and adding the small runs of solids to each production batch has been an awesome excuse for us to trot out one of the things we love the most about CLYW. -Steve

Will you guys be at Western Canadian' in Kelowna this year?

I haven't heard anything about it yet. -Steve

Can you guys release some of each batch on your clyw online store? I like buying from your store alot better.

We've been talking about doing that. Not many, just a handful of pieces from each run. Maybe! -Steve

CLYW ti?

Nothing planned, but we'd love to do one. I personally am a huge fan of titanium return tops. I love my Ricochet, I backed the YoYoFactory "Titanium Dream" project (as did Chris!) and if I had the money I'd grab a Dazzler in a heartbeat. -Steve

Looking at all these yoyo performances from the past two years I question "Where are the oldies at?" Steve that's your call!

The oldies are answering questions on Ask.fm, editing video, managing the team, trying to hold Chris to design/production deadlines, working on a promotional budget that never seems to work out the way we want it to, fielding emails from team members, talking to retailers, talking to suppliers, and doing a million other things that keep us from actually picking up a return top, ha ha ha. -Steve

If you guys do free shipping from your store, do I still have to pay tax if Customs in my country (the UK) get a hold of it? Sorry I'm not fully informed on these things, it's okay if you don't know.

The cost of shipping has no relevance to customs duties. -Steve

Do you contribute a lot of your current success to the success you had with the peak? Most companies that have weak first models never turn out as big as you guys are now.

Gotta be honest here....the Peak is irrelevant. That first model could have been anything. The success of the company comes from Chris. He had a distinctive vision for CLYW, he has always made it a point to be very, very active and connect with the fans in a positive and meaningful way, he understands how to guide and manage the brand so that it always stays true to his vision, and he is a wonderful human being. The actual products are, to me, completely secondary to all of that. -Steve

are you guys going to be sponsoring ECR or canadian nats?

I have not received any sponsorship information from either of those events. If you know the organizers, please tell them to send details to steve@clyw.ca. -Steve

A new run of the Avalanches? Because I saw on YoyoExpert last week, "for a limited time"

We split the final production of the Avalanche into two batches. The second (and final) batch will release soon. -Steve

By what specific date will (insert return top [commonly yeti]) be released? Also if (insert far fetched situation here) will you (inset outcome here)? Oh and will you sponsor me because I bought one of your (insert product here) and instagramed it? Oh and I hate the new colors and Asia.Bases covered

Not sure, but I think we should have __________ available in the next few ___________. I haven't thought about that specific _________ but probably ______. Thanks for the interest, but we _______ currently looking to add anyone to our team. Sorry to hear that you don't like _________, it's probably because you are ____________ and I ____________ you. -Steve

should I get a wm2 or a advance scout I love more floaty throws with enough stabity to not change plain easily like ac2 bvm2 and orca

Get the Scout. -Steve

I got a question if your going to throw out the fools gold yetis could you sell them as souvenirs? I would buy some just to look at them. You would make more money if you do this so they wouldn't go to waste and people will have more cool stuff in their collections

Nope, sorry. -Steve

I suport the overseas production. Beacuse it adds variety and you could spread clyw to less advandced players with a budget yoyo.

Thanks! That's the plan. It's not like we want to change our existing line...we just want to add a couple of options to it. -Steve
