Noooooo! I'm so bummed to hear the Moonshine is limited. I'm stoked to see a new responsive throw out there. Will there at least be more Basecamp throws that fall into the fun/responsive category?
How does the Compass compared to the 3 Basecamp yoyos? If you have only $100, which one would you get?
All four are so radically different, impossible to compare. Compass is really a contest evolution of the Scout, so if you like the Scout, get a Compass. Jackknife is great for fingerspins and hella floaty, Expedition is a contest model born out of the Shutter and Orca. Moonshine is stupid pocket fun. -Steve
what's your favorite of the three basecamp yoyo's? also, how would you describe the play of the jackknife and the expedition? Thank you!
I really like them all, but I play with the Moonshine the most because I'm old, lol. The Expedition is such a contest yoyo - all the best bits from the Orca and Shutter. The Jackknife is so unique and floaty...Hans did some amazing stuff with the weight distribution there. So excited with the first releases, and we're already planning more! -Steve
I have an puffin 2 for about 2 years now and it is starting to become less grind friendly. Its has no vibe so is there anything i can do to bring that grind again. Thanks
Sounds like you used it so much that you buffed out the blast finish! Maybe an anodized can carefully reblast for you? Not sure. -Steve
so the year is half over, CLYW has released some amazing video's this year so which are your favorite? I'm stuck somewhere between emerald city and the manatee video, soo good.
Yeah, those two are at the top for me, too. So many great ones, though!! Gah! I love our team!! -Steve
I like orange and gold return tops with orange string. Thats my thing. Gold black and orange would be really dope, like a dragon slayer fade. Please, can we get a dragon slayer fade?
We try not to mess with other companies color ways. -Steve
Hey Steve, you regularly say that the sasquatch is your favourite monometal, and I have to ask, why is that? I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just that I find that while it's a great yo-yo it's honestly my least favourite CLYW I've tried to date, and I want to know why you like it.
It has so much rim weight get that I don't have to throw it hard. I have tendinitis in both wrists so playing is hard for me sometimes. Plus I just love the shape and size. It clicks with me. But Alec's new return top knocked the Sasq out of my top spot. -Steve
I just bought a TUNDRA in LUFTVERK store. I am so happy to get the first CLYW Ti yoyo, wait this happen for 2 years.
But it takes 50USD for shipping to Australia, thats bit sad :(
Yeah, sorry. Bigger box, more packing, more expensive to ship. But thanks for the support, you're gonna love it!!! -Steve
