Would you guys ever produce another run of the Borealis in solid colorways like the first run? Missed out on the Solid Red Borealis and I really want one! Thanks!
Yes we will. Prob not on this next run though. -Chris
why isn't the igloo up on your site but the blizzard is?
Blizzard is in production. Once I place that order for the Igloo we'll put it up. It's ready to go. Kurti said to me today that now that he has the Igloo he no longer has a need to throw any other yoyo! Damn! We're pumped! -Chris
They were a tough one to manufacture and had some issues that we learned from. You won't have to worry about find one on the new Yeti! -Chris
I dont understand trick creation. Ive been playing for nearly a year and i haven't come up with anything original at all. I mean i can make up combos of tricks that ive learnt or seen but nothing new? Is this normal for someone whose been playing for a year?
You've only been playing a year...give yourself a minute to really build a solid foundation of trick knowledge and understanding before you expect to be the next Zach Gormley!Everyone progresses at their own speed...keep at it, don't get discouraged, and don't judge your progress by anyone else's. -Steve
You could consider out of recent circumstances to call the "new" BBB colorway something like "Bowie", "Ziggy" or "Stardust". "Space Oddity" or what I thought of, "Space Pop" would be kinda fitting too! Just some suggestions haha! :)
So do you think the Borealis beats the other plastics on the market performance/play-wise (if you DON'T count in the price range as an argument)? Just curious, because some time ago you kinda almost admitted that YYF is totally dominating with their Replay!
Well, the Borealis is a $130+ metal so yeah, I would definitely say it beats the plastics on the market. -Steve
For that Scout CW. What about Billy the Black Banana? 😊
Thanks for the suggestion! -Steve
Why do some batches have engravings and some do not? Does it have to do with the colours that's why engraving are not possible on all colour ways? Thank you!
Because sometimes we feel like engraving, and sometimes we don't. -Steve
Steve Big Dipper status
Every time I get a "question" like this I imagine a stone-faced 14-year old boy stepping in front of me suddenly at a yoyo contest and saying it with no emotion, then blocking my path until I give him a detailed answer...at which point he silently leaves and does not say "thank you". Every time. Big Dippers are being tested. We'll announce a release date when we have one. -Steve
just want to know, where is Shinnosuke Miyamoto? really miss his freestyle :)
No idea. -Steve
Name the colorway Black Fruit Ninja!
Thanks for the suggestion! -Steve
It seems like a lot of the info on your team page is a little outdated. It still says Zach's signature return top is the Arctic Circle.
Thanks! Things move so quickly sometimes that it's hard to remember to get in there and update the team pages. Thanks for the heads up! If you spot anything else feel free to email me at steve@clyw.ca and I'll update it. -Steve
I gotta be honest man, I really don't have time to critique your friend's freestyles. Sorry. Between CLYW, YoYoNews, and 2016 Worlds, I'm all full up!A better idea (especially since I don't compete and rarely judge anymore so I'm not even your best source of info) is to post stuff up in the B/S/T/Talk forum on Facebook. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/264920000363793/) There are a ton of competitive players there who would be happy to give feedback and critique, and who are probably more current on scoring than I am. I like to delegate the judging to other people, ha ha. ;) Sorry to disappoint! -Steve
