I just want to say that I've been fortunate enough to throw a lot of yoyos in my day and NOTHING compares to a CLYW. When I throw one it just feels so right. Thanks for absolutely killing it guys.

I'm considering the Compass, Manatee, Jackknife and Expedition so how do they all compare to each other in spin time, stability, control (ability to play both fast and slow) and grinds (basically it passes if it can finger spin/grind for at least 10 seconds with reasonable skill)
Spin Time: 100% up to you.
Stability: Compass and Expedition are the most stable, then Jackknife, then Manatee.
Control: 100% up to you.
Grinds: Manatee and Compass are the best, then Expedition then Jackknife.
As with all these, these are my 100% subjective opinions, and if you ask Chris you will probably get different answers, lol. Return tops are all about preference these days, and finding a design that *clicks* with you. -Steve

Whatever happened to the Slackline strings? Are they still being made? I can't find them anywhere.
I think Paul was making another batch for YoYoExpert, but that was a while ago. Specialty string is a pretty hard thing to keep rolling, especially when it's just one or two guys making it. -Steve
Just got a jackknife!!! are new collabs in the works? we've already had two mass market brands together in basecamp and it will be great to work with more premium brands like one drop or yoyocreation

I think you've misunderstood what Basecamp is. It's an ongoing collaboration between CLYW and YoYoFactory. There will not be any other companies involved, as it's a project that we came up with together and it's basically a collaboration between friends.

We produce probably 1/10th the number of return tops each year as a company like YoYoFactory, probably even less than that. We're a very small specialty brand, and have every intention of eventually being a slightly larger specialty brand, and that's about it.
