Recently got the chance to try a Yeti 2 and Big Dipper, both are incredible! It got me thinking about how many brands are venturing into plastic now. Many of their models are intended for beginning and intermediate players. Do you think CLYW will make a yoyo for beginners any time in the future?
Maybe? It's something we've talked about, just not sure what we want to do. -Steve
Would rubbing alcohol damage the laser engraving on yoyos?
What happened to the Glacier Express btw? why did you retire it?
It was hard to make and the failure rate was too high for ano flaws and vibe. So we decided to retire it. BUT I bet our new shop could make something like it no problem. -Chris
My big dipper were initially smooth... but when unscrew the yoyo to lube my bearing and put it back together... it starts to vibe a little. Does it happen to all plastic yoyos?
It's a common thing with plastics. I'd recommend playing with the axle position a little to get it smooth again. Try threading it all the way into one side before assembling it. If that doesn't help. Try the other half. ✌️ -Chris
Will there be another run of the manatee? I've got one and it's helped me learn so much, but it's a little scuffed up. I'd like to be able to buy another for show and keep my best up one for practice. Thanks for rolling the dice on that one too, it's the best yoyo I've ever played with.
More coming for sure! Glad you're digging it. :) -Steve
Yo Steve/Chris, this is a shoutout for being awesome guys and putting up with all of us badgering you constantly with questions and shit. Keep it real dudes.
How tall is Tessa? She's like the tallest female thrower I've seen!
She is, uh, average height-ish? I don't know. Why do people keep asking how tall our team members are? Man, you folks are weird sometimes, lol. -Steve, 5'11"
