I ordered a B grade BvM last weekend and I haven't gotten a receipt or shipment email. Should I email them or something?

Something went wonky with the order notifications. Someone just emailed me about an order, I logged in and found like 8 orders that I didn't know were there. TOTALLY screwed that up somehow! I'm on my way to Chicago for a conference right now, but I'll be back on Sunday and will get ALL outstanding BGrade orders processed and shipped for Monday morning. I just went through and emailed everyone directly who has an order in the system.

Any chance that CLYW will join the bi-metal game? I mean, you definitely don't need to because your products are fantastic! Just out of curiosity.

I posted this on YoYoExpert's forum just today:
For every single CLYW product, whether it's a return top or a sticker, the conversation starts like this:
Is this part of our story?
If we feel like it is (or should be) a legitimate way to keep telling the CLYW story, then we move forward. If it's not, then regardless of how cool we think it might be or current market trends or whatever, we're not going to do it.
We aren't finished having that conversation about a bi-metal return top. Maybe this year it will be part of our story, maybe it won't. But if we do it, it has to fit CLYW and the story that we're telling. -Steve

Thanks for your brent stole confession Steve. I've been yoyoing for almost 26 years and I've never learned it either. Since that wasn't a question, are there plans to include something with every release this year? Such as the photos, pins, patches, etc?

Steve I just got my advanced scout its absolutely amazing!!! I'm so sad there's only going to be one run have you guys ever thought of changing the name and continuing product as just a non signature model?

If you like the Advance Scout, I think you'll probably love the production Scout too! But we still have some Advance Scouts left, if you want to stock up and hoard 'em. ;) -Steve

What are the benefits of a flat bearing compared to a concave bearing?

The flat bearing allows the string segments to move out of each others way and slide smoothly over the surface of the bearing. With a konkave or grooved or V bearing, the string can bunch up at the bottom. The Center Trac and Double Straight (YoYoRecreation) bearings are the only centering bearings that I'm aware of that offer the string mobility of a flat bearing and the play benefit of a centering bearing. -Steve

Steve are you gonna do the brent stole challenge

Confession: I can't do Brent Stole. Never learned it, never worried about it. I try one every once in a while but I honestly have no idea how that trick works ha ha. Chris wants me to film myself trying. I don't know if anyone wants to watch 45 minutes of me whirling a string around with no idea what I'm doing. Or maybe they do.

Could engineering skills or graphic design get you sponsored? Even if you don't go to contests, but you're still very good?

I suppose that's possible. It's honestly never come up, at least not for us. But as I've mentioned before, our team is more like a family, so skills & contributions are something we don't even consider until after we've decided you would be a good fit, personality wise. -Steve

We're working on a buddy cop movie starring the two of them.
Also, Andrew is currently in the final stages of launching his own line of salad dressings and Michael was just accepted to NASA's astronaut training program. So, big things coming from both of them this year! -Steve

Will there be some orcas to try out at EYYC?

There are only 5 of them currently out there...I have one, Chris has one, and Harrison has three. Since none of us are going to EYYC, I'm afraid you are out of luck. But, the good news is that machining has been completed and they are waiting to be anodized. :) -Steve

Whats the best CLYW to get first?

Completely a matter of preference. But as I've mentioned before, the Chief is very much our "flagship" model, and will give you a great idea of the general feel of our return tops. -Steve

Will there ever be a really good 5A return top?

I feel like we make quite a few of them. AC2, Bonfire, BvsM2, Scout are all great for 5A. -Steve

oh, so with the advance scout to the final instead of the baby 2nd rim it's like BvM2, and then the rest is the same except Bonfire spike?

That sentence was like watching a car crash.
For the final version of the Scout, we'll be smoothing out the rims inside the cup and moving the weight a tiny bit more towards the center. Yes, it will be a bit more like the Bear vs Man 2. And yes, it will have the pointed post from the Bonfire. -Steve

The original Gnarwhal was designed as a "little brother" to the Sasquatch, but while the Sasquatch has only had some minor revisions to improve playability, the design for the Gnarhwal 2 changed a fair bit from the first...to the point where it's really kind of become it's own thing. -Steve
