Would an duncan size berring fit into a clyw?
Our return tops use a Large Size C bearing. I don't pay any attention to what Duncan is doing so I don't know what size bearings they are using. -Steve
how can the advance scout be for real if the scout is more advanced than the prototype? or is it not? i am so confused by this nameing system. why cant it just be scout 1 and then scout 2. or maybe scout junior.
We named it the "Advance Scout" because it came before the Scout. It has nothing to do with the word "advanced" which means "better" and everything to do with the word "advance" which means "to precede something".

Whats the difference between advanced scout and scout .. and why the advanced scout isnt in catalog on your web ?
The Advance Scout isn't in our catalog because I haven't put it up yet. Will do that soon!
As for the differences between the two:
- Advance Scout has the same post as the Chief, production Scout has the same post as the Bonfire.
- Advance Scout has a secondary "inner rim" design, although not as pronounced as the Chief. In the production Scout, that secondary rim has been pushed all the way down and smoothed in to be more like the inner cup profile of the Bear Vs Man 2. This pushes the weight in a bit further and stabilizes the return top more. -Steve

What makes a return top competition ready? What traits would you think are the most vital ones when talking about if a throw is "optimized" for competition? Thanks!
Stability (especially for horizontal play) and long spin time are the two biggies, and a low response wall is a big deal when you're trying to squeak every second out of those combos. -Steve
Is the finish on the new solid Sasquatch (and Puffin 2) different from the splash coloured return tops? Dunno, my Sasquatch just feels soooo silky smooth! love that!

We don't have a limit on team members, but we definitely try to keep the team to a manageable and affordable size. -Steve

no offense intended i am a huge fan. but the maiderade on the ac2 vs the original puffin 2 look like completely different color ways was that change intentional or was it a mistake. will the original maiderade be on the next puffin 2 run.sorry if this came off rude because both versions look amazing
As we've mentioned before, anodizing is pretty much impossible to keep consistent from one batch to the next. Our anodizers do their best, but there are gonna be differences each time. -Steve

If you have long string, how do you stop the yoyo hitting the ground when you do a breakaway? I see Charles do some weird throw which is sort of diagonal towards his left knee but I have no idea how to do it so if you could give tips or point me to a tutorial that would be helpful :)
Realistically, if your string is so long that you keep hitting the ground on a breakaway then your string is TOO long.
But if you really insist on playing with a string that is too long, you can learn to throw a breakaway that just goes *across* instead of *down and across*. Here's an example. You'll notice that the return top begins it's arc going across my body instead of out, down, and then across like a traditional breakaway. It's not complicated, but it will take a little while for you to get used to it and still be able to put some power in. Hope this helps! (For the record, that string comes all the way up to my armpits when the return top is resting on the ground. It's ridiculously long.) -Steve
