I have my Borealis and for a while I've had moments where the axel would be stuck in the axel seat. It would play just fine and eventually through play it would loosen up. But now the axel started chipping away and now it's too stubborn. I can't twist it. I've tried gently using pliers but nothing.

Yikes, sorry to hear about that! Could be wear and tear from use or just gunk in the axle well. Not sure what you mean by "chipping away", but if metal is coming off then it's not coming off the axle, it's coming off the threading inside the axle well...which is probably what's making the axle stick. Try and get that axle out and the clean out your axle well with compressed air. -Steve

Just got my new Dune and it came with a bad CT 8 ball, are pixel bearings no longer being used on CLYW?

We had a whole batch of Pixel Bearings that had problems, so we sent them all back to the factory and are still waiting for them to finish another run with stricter quality standards. In the meantime we've shifted back to CBC Center Trac bearings because they have been pretty reliable for us. If you are having an issue with the stock bearing right out of the package, just hit up the store you purchased from and they'll take care of you! -Steve

Any thoughts on moving the Chief production to China? I would much rather have that (I think all overseas produced models have performed amazingly) than see it retired.

We haven't really talked about it. Kinda not sure what to do there. -Steve

I'm telling you that on two separate occasions, about a year apart, we offered Ayumu the opportunity to work with Chris and design a signature model for himself, and he said he didn't want one and he was happy using our existing models. -Steve

Nope, haven't released yet. There are only 30 pieces, all Pineapple Fade. They'll be dropping soon, though! -Steve

If the Sherpa were to hit the ground hard, would there be a chance of the caps coming off the sides of the yoyo?

Pretty doubtful, but as soon as I say "no" then someone will hurl the thing off a 40-story balcony, knock the caps off, and then spend a month dragging me online for it. So I'll say that chances are slim that it would happen without tremendous force, but weird stuff happens. -Steve

Kayak or Dune? Why?

If you want something that feels lighter and faster, Kayak. If you want something more stable that can push through lots of plane-breaking tricks, get a Dune. -Steve
