I'm going to get my first CLYW return top soon. I was thinking of getting either a Sasquatch or an Avalanche. Maybe even both! Whoever is answering this, how do they play compared to eachother? (In terms of stability, sleep time, speed, floatiness/solidity)

Sasquatch spins longer and is more stable, but Avalanche is faster and more floaty. The Avalanche is actually a sort of "refined" Sasquatch....less of a spin machine and with a little more "all around appeal". I like 'em both, but I tend to reach for the Avalanche more often. -Steve

So Steve, I know that this is a dumb question but, how often do you do 5a? Also what put the thought of it in your mind?

Not all that often anymore. All the patent ugliness with Duncan really soured me on it. What's the point in promoting a style of play that someone else owns and refuses to promote, but still won't let anyone else promote it? I'm basically just ignoring it until the patent expires, and then I'll start pushing hard again to promote it. -Steve

Favorite non clyw yoyo?

Hard to pic a favorite since there is so much great stuff out there, but I'm really partial to the C3YoYoDesign Mo-Vitation. I absolutely love that model! -Steve

Steve or Chriss or Chuck or whatever. Maybe all of you.. just.. that doesn't matter. Have you got SLUSNY Nest in your personal collection?

No, but I want one. -Steve

Steve, love the image of your collection (thanks for sharing). Did you make the cases yourself (the 3 hardcases at the top of the picture), or did you buy/pay someone to make them for you? Thanks so much for all you and the rest of the CLYW crew do. Happy New Years!

The two matching hard cases are old YoYoGuy.com 72 Star Cases. The third one that's a little smaller and has the packaged stuff in it is just a case from the hardware store that came with that cubed foam that you can pull out and make any configuration you want.
The soft cases are from YoYoExpert. Thanks, André! -Steve

how many solid colors from the final ac2 run what's the price ranges?

Price range is the same as always. We'll announce colors once they're done and we know what turned out. -Steve

Chris, what was the inspiration for the turtlechute peak? Also, do you still own the hoodride peak?

Turtlechute came from an image Adam Brewster loved. I unfortunately don't have the Hoodride Peak any more. Funny story I once offered it to Steve as a trade back in like 2007. He wasn't interested at all. The Hoodride is in NYC in Chef Riad Nasr's collection. - Chris

what this is the last run of puffin 2 and sasquatch! Which should I get? Should I get one or wait for orca?!!!!

It is not the last run of either, who said this? - Chris

What does the summit play like? I want one but how does it relate to the Sasquatch and ac2 and marmot 2?

It's solid and really stable. I like it a lot for 5A, although I prefer return tops that move a little quicker for 1A. It's not as stable as the Sasquatch, but then again nothing in our line really is. It's really similar to the Arctic Circle 2, but a little slower and plays heavier. It's absolutely nothing like the Wooly Marmot 2, which is smaller, lighter, faster, and feels completely different. -Steve

1.What colors are the scout coming in Thursday.2. Will I like the scout. I want something a little floaty and a little weight to it. The chief was a great return top but just didn't meet my standards imo and I've never tried a bonfire so. 3. Will they be on clyw store and what time will they drop?

1. Solid colors only - Blue, Silver, Orange, Pink, Black
2. Yeah, I think you will.
3. Only on CLYW.ca. 10 pm EST.
