How do you guys come up with all these wonderful names for your yoyos

Sometimes it's our team, sometimes it's just Chris and I getting all slappy in our Slack chat, sometimes we just spit something out and it sticks. It's different for everything. -Steve

How does the Banana Hammock and the Creep play?

Banana Hammock is really stable and feels like a super fast banana. I know that's a ridiculous, bullsh*t way to describe a return top, but that's totally how it feels to me.
The Creep feels like every fat, comfortable, old-school, classic-shape return top you've ever used, except that it plays 100% modern and can handle anything you can come up with. It's amazing.
I've been using the Banana Hammock for 5A and the Creep for 1A, and not much else lately, if that gives you any indication. -Steve

On an older post you said that the difference between the 3x2 and 2x2 Kraft boxes is that premium models have the 3x2. What makes the Manatee Compass, and the Big Dipper not a premium model?

It's purely a pricing thing. Those are all less expensive models. The Yeti just doesn't fit in those boxes, otherwise we'd put it in there as well.
They sure play premium, though, don't they? Our last 6 production runs have had 0% b-grades. Compared to machining/anodizing in North America (which historically gave us 15% - 20% b-grades per run), that's pretty amazing. So we're happy with the quality. Hope you are too. :) -Steve

Is heavensent and poolparty gonna be like a rebellion brand or something completely different? Either way I'm way hyped.

Completely different. Thanks so much for the support! Hoping to drop the first Pool Party throw this coming week. -Chris

I just wanted to thank you guys for sponsoring Anthony Rojas. Without that I would never have discovered his genius. His nats freestyle was amazing!

Thank you! We love him! -Chris

Do the dipper and yeti have bigger gaps or something than the rest of your throws? I feel that they are quite a bit more unresponsive.

Pretty sure the gaps are the same, design-wise, but there is obviously more variance in plastic than aluminum. -Steve

Did you ever get into juggling anything other than balls? I had a friend who could do up to 5 clubs/knives or 4 rings!

I got *ok* with 5 rings at one point, but never got past 3 clubs. Couldn't figure them out. I also juggle knives, torches, bowling balls, all kinds of stuff. -Steve

Hows the control on the Borealis?

Pretty good. It favors a player with finesse, though. It's not as forgiving as an Igloo or Blizzard. -Steve

Hurry the hell up with these pool parties and the heaven sents and the tessa's youve been teasin me for soooo long.

We're working on it, I promise. -Steve

What are currently the most favorite clyw yoyo(s) with clyw team members?

It's actually pretty spread out right now. We've got such a broad offering right now that everyone very much has whatever they want to kinda gravitate towards. Borealis, Compass, Blizzard, Igloo, and Manatee all seem to be in heavy rotation. -Steve

why do u make yoyos? doesnt sound fun lmao

Oh, it's a huge pain in the butt ha ha...but there are a lot of things about it that we love. -Steve

why does yotricks not sell yeti 2??

Not every shop decides to carry everything. YoTricks seems to have some pretty specific plans as far as what products they carry, and I don't think our line fits in it very well. -Steve

Do you plan on making kendamas or 4a yoyos ever? I would love a CLYW Offstring Kendama

We made kendamas...twice, actually! I think I still have a couple boxes of them in my storage unit. I'll have to dig them out and put them back in the shop. -Steve
