Just noticed that Kurti's Duel of the Fates Cabin Tutorial says that he was using a Bonfire, but it looks like he was using an Orca? Or am I hallucinating? haha
Should be a Bonfire, according to Kurti. -Steve
So do you guys like that your yoyos are popular enough where many times they can be sold second hand for more than the retail price? Isn't that to some degree flattering?
We're just stoked that people like playing with them. Everything beyond that is just a bonus. -Steve
Will there be a sneakpeak on the colourway of those new igloos?
Hi Steve! Just wondering if you have a favorite 5a trick?
Aerial.
So after the release of chief... what is the next run from you guys? I bought a electric bacon chief ^^ do let me know coz i wanna save up some munayy$$$
New batch of Igloo coming soon, and. This just stealth dropped 20 pieces of a bi-metal Banana Hammock at PoolPartyYoYos.com. -Steve
Sorry to make assumptions about competition and sponsorship, it is just what was shown on the surface of some teams. I want to get sponsored for the art of it. Do you see yoyoing as an art?
All good, didn't mean my answer to sound like rebuke. I see yoyoing as a medium. How you view it, how you present it, what it means to you...those are all personal decisions. There are external systems in place that can reinforce these decisions for you in different ways, but really it's just whatever you want it to be for you. -Steve
Sup. I'm a yoyoer of 3 years but I feel like my tricks are still mediocre. I want to be a technical player rather than a fast one. How do I get better at tech tricks and improve my flow overall? Also do you think how yoyoing is today, that teams only sponsor for competition rather than just the art?
It's all just practice. Study the tricks you want to learn, and practice practice practice. Every team sponsors for different reasons. Definitely not fair to assume that competition is the only reason people get sponsored. -Steve
What is the difference between fools gold and imperfect?
The imperfect ones all play like A-Grade but have a consistent bit of silver showing through the anodizing...exactly the same minor blemish on all of them. -Steve
Do you see in-house manufacturing as a possible option for CLYW in the future?
Nope.
I always find that every yoyo company has a "flagship" design, one yoyo that I find may not be my favourite, or strictly speaking the best, but embodies the company better than anything that has (or perhaps ever will) be created. I believe the chief is that yoyo and I'm glad you're still making it!!
