Have you guys changed anodizers at some point? Looking at pics of the recent Puffin run on YYE, there seems to be this white "halo" around paint speckles. My older CLYW does not have this and the halo really looks terrible. Example: blue speckles http://cdn.yoyoexpert.com/1169/view/images/02.jpg

As we've mentioned many, many times before...anodizing is an imperfect science and the results can vary widely from not just run to run, but even within the same run. We try our very best to only release the very best product to stores, but sometimes ano flaws can slip through. If you receive a CLYW product that isn't up to full quality, the store you bought it from should be able to replace or refund you, no problem. We've been using the same anodizer for quite a while and have found that their quality has actually improved quite a bit over time. We're happy with the quality of their work, and we hope our fans are too. -Steve

I live really long spinning stable throwss but i can decide to get a bonfire or a scout.i live my bonfire now but i love out so much I'm not sure what i should get. What do you think?

Don't know what to say, you seem conflicted because you like both styles of throws! (which is great, i love variety too) Maybe find a color way you really like at this point and pick that! - Charles

I already have a bonfire and i love it but i like it so much i considering getting another one. What should i do... get a new bonfire, chucks sig, or scout?

My sig might still be a long wait. The scout is significantly different than the bonfire, so I'm not sure what to advise. If you're looking for something new then for sure, but if you're totally groovin the bonfire I would just get another one :)

Whas "The Cliff" succesfull return top in CLYW history? Whas it succesfull like Puffin2? Or Chief?

Ya it was a great yoyo, but very difficult to consistently machine to such high tolerances that are required. -Charles

How did you have the confidence to perform in front of people?(for both chuck and steve if possible.)

At first, you don't. You get nervous and jittery as an Xbox controller when you're loosing. But you just go up there and do it. If you bomb, you learn afterwards that failure isn't so bad and you're still alive. It's just practice and repetition. I also did drama in highschool which helped a ton.
But for something like yoyoing it's still different because there is so much build up. You practice for months and then you only have one slot of 3 minutes to execute your routine, it's you're only chance. In a theatre play you rehearse with other people constantly, then you have a dress rehearsal (usually with an audience), and then you still perform a whole week of shows if not more. It's also a lot harder to mess up a line of dialogue than it is a yoyo trick. Consistency in yoyo tricks are straight difficult.
When I did gymnastics It was even worse, I never really defeated the nerves then. That was the only thing harder to perform than yoyoing. Really if you're committed to something you should see a sports psychologist and learn breathing techniques and other things to gain control of yourself in the heat of the moment.

Chuck, have you ever rocked muscle? I'm 17, I'm thinner you, but I want to look like you

Lol. Well I've never been big, but when I did gymnastics in high school I was lean and strong. Still only weighed 110 though. Now i'm 125 and taller with less muscle :(
just started exercising last week though and feeling pretty good. -Charles

Do you know of any place I can get a solid gold 2014 Sasquatch? Every store I check is sold out of that color. Do you have any at the lodge or should I start checking eBay and the BST?

You're gonna have to stick with eBay or BST forums. Sorry! -Steve

Is the grey bip bop bonfire suppose to be pinkish or is that just a camera thing?

They aren't *supposed* to be pinkish, but this batch did turn out that way. As I've mentioned before, anodizing is an imperfect science. They still look pretty sweet, though! -Steve

I read somewhere that the plastic you use in yetis only comes in black. How did you manage to make yetis in other colors?

We were able to use a slightly different version of that material for the colored versions, which is why they feel different from the black ones. Many people prefer the colored versions, but there are quite a few (myself included) who like the black ones better. -Steve

So is it truly BAD to screw a yoyo together tight but not like super super factory tight?

I have absolutely no idea how to quantify what you think is "tight" versus what I think is "tight". So let's just stick with "when the halves stop turning, stop turning them" and go from there, yeah? -Steve

what do you guys do to prevent yoyos from condensating in the cold (calgary) and is it bad for them or the bearings?

Extreme cold is kinda cruddy for the lube inside the bearings, but other than that it's not going to damage the actual return top. If your bearings freeze, just get them back inside where it's warm and let them get back to room temperature before you play with them. -Steve
