What makes a team member inactive? They don't film videos? They don't compete? They never visit the office? What if a player hit a rough patch and couldn't afford flights to competitions? Would they hypothetically be dropped?

Everyone on the team participates in different ways, so it's hard to answer with a blanket "they do this" kind of scenario. But when someone is participating, they are actively promoting themselves and CLYW and just generally participating in the return top industry and community. Maybe that's competing, maybe it's videos, maybe it's Instagram. Different for everyone.

I am thinking about getting in to kendama, which ken dams would you recommend?

I mostly use a Grain Theory ken with one of the Deal With It/Sourmash/CLYW tamas.

Actually though, do you think thats a good trade?

If you are a collector, there are more chances to get the Bonfire because it's still in production so the Glacier Express is the better return top.
If you are a player, the Bonfire will likely serve you better.

After making a model, do you like to render them out so you get a good representation of how it would look 3D in metal with perspective?

We do! Giving them color and shading helps us get a feel for the finished product and start to discover the personality of the design. The renders aren't meant to be 100% visually accurate, color-wise, just meant to let us really look at how the shape is going to be in a 3D space. The Yeti, for example, was really similar to the Chief until we fleshed out the renders and it really started to develop a life of its own.

Im thinking about trading my ninja hurdles bonfire for a harrison hurricane glacier express, in perfect condition, should i do it?

Yes.
No.
Maybe.

The Yeti is so over hyped, how do you guarantee theres enough too go around? Will there be a limit?

Can't guarantee there will be enough to go around completely, but we can definitely say it will be WAY easier to get this next time around.

Which do you personally like better, the chief or the bonfire?

Tough to say...I've had more time to get used to the Chief and honestly only started throwing my Bonfire regularly pretty recently. I really like them both, though...which means I'm probably going to love the Scout when I get one.

When Is the scout's specs gonna be givin out to the public?

We've got a couple of tiny changes to make...once we get the revised version from One Drop we'll measure and weigh and photograph and get specs on our site!

If the Peak doesn't play all that well how come many players on the CLYW team say that its one of their favourites?

It's a combination of familiarity and nostalgia.
Our team loves it....but you won't seem them on stage with it.

Is a Peak even worth a few hundred dollars or should I just get a newer model of yours for half the price?

It's a collector's model at this point, and the price is not indicative of the play.
Our new stuff plays WAY better. If you want something to put on a shelf and say "Dude, check it. CLYW Peak. Yeah? Jealous?" then by all means, drop a couple hundy on a Peak.
If you want to play with it, get anything else.

Are assembling Yetis time consuming? Are you guys going to make one big run for the Yeti so that many can get their hands on one or is it taking forever to make a small batch?

Our hope is to get all the rest of the parts assembled as one large run before we decide the future of the model. Everyone has been so incredibly patient with us on these, we want to make sure that when they are available again there are (hopefully) enough to go around.

Yo Steve! How's the surgery? Hope it's all well

Thanks for asking!
It was to correct an umbilical hernia, and everything went well. My stomach feels like I got stabbed (which, technically I guess I kinda did), and I'm up at 4:30 am as a side effect of spending a lot of yesterday knocked out and sedated. Other than the general discomfort of the surgery site and the binding (I'm literally wearing a girdle to hold my guts together while I heal, it's terribly flattering) I'm doing just fine.
Thanks to everyone for the support and well wishes!

Should I trade my wm2 for a puffin 2. I prefer more solid, stable throws.

I don't know if "solid" is the best way to describe the Puffin 2, but it's definitely stable. The Wooly Marmot 2 is fairly stable as well until you get up to horizontal stuff and then it loses it's edge to the Puffin 2 and a few other models that are better in that regard...Bonfire, AC2, etc.

Would you consider the bonfire a "floaty" yoyo?

Funny, Chris was just working on a formula to calculate the relative "float" of all of our return tops. I think his preliminary numbers indicate that yes, the Bonfire is "floaty", although he's still trying to find a good way to quantify that.

How much is a mint in box hulk smash peak worth?

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it when you decide to sell it. Couple hundy?
