*insert completely unmerited criticism about random player here*

We seem to be getting a lot of questions lately that are just anonymous people who want to complain about who won some contest and say how much they think the winner didn't deserve it.
There is no place for that here. Comments like that will be deleted, not answered. Thanks! -Steve

How did Ayumu face jet lag while being in Europe?

Probably the same way everyone else did: you muscle through it and then collapse on the plane ride home, and then sleep like crap for a week. -Steve

tessa going to do any cabin tutorials soon? How was Can Nats?

Yes, we're working on Cabin Tutorials for Tessa. :)
Canada Nats was great...had an awesome time, met a ton of players, hooked people up with some good deals on CLYW stuff...it was a great time! -Steve

What was the problem with Blizzards bearing seat?

They were a little tighter than we like. A few of the Maiderade ones had problems due to damage that happened during anodizing. Luckily most of the run was just fine, and we took care of the problem ones. -Steve

Hey alec, what are your thoughts on the Canon EOS 60D? What would be a good lenses to use with it when shooting yoyo videos?

I've never used one personally, but it seems like a nice camera. I read it's pretty similar to the T3i but almost double the price. That might be something to think about. If your budget for a camera body is $1000 (which is how much a 60d is new) then I would consider just going full frame and getting a used 6d or 5d mkII. A good lens I would recommend is a 35mm f/2.0 or a 28mm f/1.8. Both are going to be wide enough and have some depth to them. Hope this helps! Message me on FB if you have more questions! -Alec

Hey Steve, what usually happens with packages fans send CLYW? For example letters, artwork, ect.

It all goes to Chris and he keeps it. -Steve

Hey Steve! I hope you are fine, and you and your family had a lovely easter! Just wanted to ask if the next Blizzard release is already in sight or really far away? My favourite retailers only have solid colors left in stock and I'd be after a pretty splash colorway! Thank you so much! :)

Hey, thanks for the kind words!
We are still moving things around and figuring things out with our China manufacturing, so the space between runs will be a little longer than usual for any China-made return tops until we get things dialed in. We had some problems with our China anodizer that caused bearing seat issues on the Maiderade Blizzards, so we had to throttle things back a little and work with them to change fixtures and process.
Igloo is priority right now, then Blizzard. Plus we are prototyping two more new models in China, finishing up the new Yeti, and working on ramping up Canada production....lots going on! -Steve

As a company how do you view other companies that you compete with; And as a player yourself? I.e. Yoyojam(rip) yoyo factory, Magic yoyo.

As a company: this is our industry, and these are our peers. A lot of people imagine some kind of rivalry and while are are technically "in competition" with each other ask yourself this: how often do you see a player who only has one brand of return tops in their case? There is room for everyone at the table, and if we all do our jobs right we can all benefit from growing the industry.
As a player: mostly, I'm not interested. Very few brands really capture my imagination these days. I tend to get more interested in a company once it's been around for a while and developed a personality and voice. Honestly, I wasn't super interested in CLYW until the Sasquatch/Gnarwhal era, which is when I feel like CLYW started to find itself. I'm excited to see the industry grow and I'm excited to see young players pushing things forward (Recess, Axis, Luftverk) but if I tried to stay on top of every single dude who called a machine shop and set up a Big Cartel store I'd never get any actual work done, ha ha. Mostly I just sort of hang back and wait to see how they develop. I'm not usually an "early adopter" when it comes to return top companies...I'm more in the "I'm old and busy and you're gonna have to get my attention" crusty old man camp, ha ha ha. I do love being proven wrong, though. I love a good surprise. Very few things are as satisfying to me as being surprised by something. -Steve

How does the Big Dipper compare to the borealis?

How does pizza compare to sushi? Totally different experiences. The Big Dipper is based on the Borealis and adapted for plastic but they feel and play totally different. -Steve

Hey can we have pali doing tutorial? I watched his solstice video the part where he was wearing red sweater... he did lots of follow and some add on i would like to see that trick in his tutorial :) please make my wish come true

I'll talk to him about it! Hard to find someone in his area to film for him. -Steve

I have a question and I feel you won't reply . Why Zach don't join contests ? He didn't join PNWR or EYYC . You will say school stuff but I think he just afraid of loseing after being world champ .

So I guess the problem here is that no matter what I say, you already have the only answer you're going to believe. So then why ask me at all? -Steve

Tessa is a genius...As clyw isn't planning to give her a sig i was planning to buy the trancscend. Will you find out if she did actually have any hand in the design or yyj just slapped it onto her? She seemed much more comfortable with the diamondback in my opinion...

Who says we aren't planning to give her a sig? -Steve

Any plans to make more 7075 versions of current return tops? I'd like to pick up a 7075 chief one of these days.

No plans at the moment. -Steve

Can you tell Alec to answer the question about the camera I asked about a week ago?

He's been a little busy, being in Europe and all. He'll get to it when he's gotten over his jet lag and is back on the ball. -Steve
