I read that all your throws come with Kitty Fat string, any chance you could let me know what color came on the Big Dippers? Mine both came with a non-neon orangish yellow that doesn't look even close to any of their colors and doesn't feel/play like my other kitty fat strings.

Does a player have to meet a special condition before he/she gets a signature? Asking because Chuck never got one and he was just sho dope.
It's based on how much work they put in, what kind of demand there is, and what they need. Chuck didn't really compete much, and his interest in a signature model was more novelty than performance need. Chris designed it and it's really just an undersized Canvas. We were sitting on the design and trying to figure out when/how to release it when Chuck left, so Chris gave him the CAD files. Chuck has since released it himself. -Steve

I have never been to a yoyo contest before and I am going to Cleveland to watch the wyyc. I am getting there the eve of the 1st night. Do the yoyos generally sell out on the first day? Will the CLYW exclusive wyyc releases be available on day 2, 3, 4? Thanks

Borealis is hands down the best yoyo you have made so far! Amazing job. Also I noticed it plays similar to Turning Point's Positron 2 but with that well familiar CLYW feel. I heard Zach wanted it to be based off Chief and Palpitation, is that true?
I've honestly never thrown a Positron 2, so I can't confirm or deny that one for you. I don't remember hearing Zach throw around any particular model names when he and Chris were designing the Borealis. I do remember that Zach was very, very particular and specific about each little detail...the radius of the curve, the exact location of that groove line, the details in the cup, etc. Zach had a vision, and I believe the Borealis was one of our longest design-times for a signature return top. -Steve

They feel like night and day to me! But it's different for everyone. If you really don't notice, then don't worry about it. As long as whatever you are using feels good to you....all good. -Steve

I tried to do a demo freestyle to At The Gates at Mid-Atlantic Regionals one year. By the end of it my hands were cramping and I was out of breath. That music is exhausting to freestyle to, ha ha. -Steve

Hey Alec, my mentor says the Canon T3i is a toy and not a real camera and I hate it when he says that. I think that camera makes some dope photos and videos. He uses a Nikon D7000 and he thinks Canon is a joke. What do you say to that because my mentor is making me highly upset?
Gotta be honest here....sounds like you need a new mentor. This person seems a little too salty.
Canon & Nikon both make great equipment. Alec and I both use Canon, so that's what we recommend because that's what we know. If your mentor is that set on you using Nikon, make them pay for it. ;) -Steve
