Do I have to reclean my bearing if I already cleaned it months ago with gasoline and I put 3 drops of yyf thin lube in it with only ome shield removed? It feels very chunky right now and I don't think it will "break in"

I love the performance of Center Trac bearings but from my experience of 3 ct and 1 CTX they tend to be noisy. Is it just my luck that it's moderately noisy or all of them like that? If so what bearing would you recommend that keeps sting away from wall and is quite and performs well?
Hard to say, since I don't know what's "noisy" to you? All my CTX bearings are pretty quiet until they break in, and even after that they aren't super loud. At least not to me, anyway. -Steve
When you lube a bearing does the lube to into the balls inside or does it just go around them to keep them good? Also what are the pros and cons of having a bearing unshielded?
Well, the actual balls are solid so nothing goes "inside" them. The lube goes between the shields and coats the balls, protecting them and increasing response.
The pros of having an unshielded bearing is that it's easier to get stuff in there. The cons are that it's easier to get stuff in there. -Steve
