HI Zach, I am a Casting Director in the Boston area and looking for teens and young adults for a series of instructional videos and TV commercials. I am having a bit of a challenge in finding these skilled yoyo'ers. Any suggestions of how I can spread the word? Can I send you the notice?
Hi, this is Steve. If you could stop spamming all of our social media accounts with your casting call, that would be great. We got your emails, and Facebook messages, and Facebook posts already. Thanks. -Steve
Zach, is there a trick that when you came up with, you were just like, "oh yeah! This one's way awesome!"
Or is it hard to choose because they're all so great?
Right now my standard for new tricks is really high. Probably too high. A lot of what I create I'm not 100% happy with but I'm sure people would be more than stoked on the tricks. However I think pushing myself is what allows me to bring out the best elements. I'm always looking for elements that I don't understand or haven't been done before. When I come across something like this I think "yeah this is awesome!"
Whatever comes with the yoyo. I don't care enough to switch bearings but I've always liked center tracs and konkave. Would like to try out ceramics more...
have you played any ti yoyos? if you have, what's your favorite?
only times I played ti yoyos was to use them to create sparks on the ground lol
whats harrisons favorite non clyw yoyos
and I quote "hmm probably the palpitation, laser or dazzler"
Zack, fav CLYW other than ur sigs?
Chief, Yeti, Advance Scout, and Wooly Marmot 2.
Hi zach
hi again
Zach, have you tried Michael Kurti's and Andrew Maider's signatures yet? If you have, how do they play? So pumped for all of the CLYW team's new signatures!
I have not tried them yet unfortunately. I'm excited too though!
What were your inspirations for the Borealis?
I wanted to combine a Chief and Palpitation. The side I didn't have anything specific in mind but I love how it turned out.
Zach, what are your favorite videos (or tricks or freestyles - choose whatever comes to mind first) of each of the other people on CLYW?
does the signature holder of a yoyo get money from the sales of their yoyo?
Yes (we are kinda like athletes in a way).
How do you come up with your tricks and what is the most important thing in a trick when you make one ?
My favorite tricks are ones that surprise me or that I don't understand so when I try to make tricks I'm always trying to make something new. If you can create a well put together combo of fresh elements you'll look really good ;)As for how? I'm not so sure. I usually a) play around with mounts and put the yoyo where I wouldn't usually put it. b) tricks just come to me when I'm casually yoyoing. c) I make a variation from someone else's trick.
