i am 4a player but i want be on clyw team. how i get sponsored by u

A big part of it is being the right fit with the team and having something unique to offer. Ayumu plays 4A, but throws I believe Japan Technology throws. But he's predominantly a 1A player. I'd say if you are only a 1A player, do you like the YYF Flight? -Chris

Do you have the release date for the next run of the Manatee? Can't wait for more color ways. Fades, solids or some splashes too?

No date set yet, sorry. -Steve

When is the next Big Dipper release? And if you do another release will it include the original colors?

Still in stock everywhere. No new colors planned....we had to make a lot. -Steve

Would Rubbing alcohol ruin an acid-wash finish on a yoyo?

Rubbing alcohol has no effect on anodizing. -Steve

If you only got to eat one more thing for the rest of your life, listen to one more song for the rest of your life, and use one more yoyo for the rest of your life, what would those be?

Gumbo, "The Width of a Circle" by David Bowie, and a Russell Professional. -Steve

If you made a collaboration with Duncan what would the yoyo look like

No idea. Duncan doesn't really have a look to begin with, and they don't have "a" designer for us to work with, so it would probably just be a CLYW with a Duncan logo on it? -Steve

Did the Tundra come with full ceramic bearings? (Mine came with a normal C-size)

well maybe i can try this question one more time with out hurting anyones feelings...why did clyw discontinue the illustrated package art?

Short answer: We didn't...we just started using a different illustrator.
Long answer: The return top industry eats itself. As soon as one company does something, most of the rest lean over to copy it. How many companies pack their return tops in stamped brown kraft paper boxes since it worked out so well for us? Too many, that's how many. And working with people like Jason Week and Paul Escolar, regardless of how much we love them and their art, meant that everyone else wanted them to do stuff too. And when you're sharing an artist with Duncan Toys and YoYoExpert and more, and when people are knocking off your packaging left and right, it gets harder and harder to stand out.
So, we changed direction. We started working with a local illustrator in Edmonton (who also did a fair bit of work on our website) to move CLYW towards a more cohesive overall look for our logos and branding. Doing one-off stuff here and there is great, but we needed the product line to stand out again, and to look like a single, cohesive product line.
The new artwork is fantastic, we love it, and it's nice to be at a point where everything in production visually fits together. -Steve
