What axle does the Sasaktoon Chief use? The short, tall, or medium one?

It's 15.74 mm long, 4.1mm thick.

is the package artwork on the woolys random for the latest run? it seemed like it was specific to the colourway for the first run.

For the next run of puffin 2's can you make one in ninja hurdles but in the old style that was on the og canvas not the recent style that looks more like a blizzard

We're pretty fond of the current iteration of Ninja Hurdles, so I think we'll be sticking with that for the time being.

My favorite throw is the puffin 2. I love the width and everything about it. I was not as happy with Sasquatch as I was with my puffin. Do you think I will like the WM2?

The WM2 is a lot closer to the Puffin 2 than the Sasquatch is, that's for sure. But all three are really different.

You guys seem to enjoy doing collaborations on yoyo designs with other companies. Any future collab plans in the works?

Nothing planned, but lots of ideas being kicked around.

What are your thoughts on people who go out and purposely go and ding the rims of a new metal when they get it? So you 'approve' of this?

We neither approve nor disapprove. We just want people to enjoy their return tops...how they choose to do it is fine by us.

In Canada, a company call Papa Toys holds a trademark on the term "yoyo". As such, no other Canadian company can manufacture a toy and market it as a "yoyo" without express permission from Papa Toys.
Which is why CLYW only manufactures return tops.

You must do more fades like the red/black YYE wm2 Its fricken amazing!!!

That was a test to see how we liked it...and so far, we like it!

No Yetis at WYYC....we just couldn't get them ready in time.

I really liked your comparison of the Puffin 2 and the Wooly Marmot 2, would you mind comparing the Chief and the Bonfire? Thanks <3

Both are great full-size return tops, and are really similar. The Chief plays a little faster, but the Bonfire is a bit more stable. Players seem to prefer the Bonfire over The Chief for 5A play, if that gives you an indication.
They're both the same weight, but the Bonfire's weight is pushed out more to the rims, while The Chief's is a little further in towards the center. Both will serve you well for pretty much anything you can throw at them, and it's going to largely come down to personal preference as to which one you like better.

Good yoyos for a beginner?

There are TONS. It's a great time to be a return top player.
Best thing to do is keep your budget under $50, and look for something that appeals to you.
