How many prototypes/models do you guys usually go through for each throw? Do you design it on the computer, make a few protos, then redesign/make changes? Or is in like the summit video where the first one works?

Depends entirely on the model. We've got things pretty dialed in at this point, and Chris is REALLY good at designing return tops, so aside from tweaks that are generally player specific for their own signature models, we tend to get things nailed in the first few tries.

Bgradeyoyos said they will announce it early July, it's mid july right now.....

They are liars. Also, Steve has been busy with Ohio States and Triple Crown.

I do have to point out one flaw in the argument for the 10-balls: All of a sudden CLYW return tops become $12 more expensive if we want CTX. =\ But still, It doesn't bother me too much, the 10-balls are solid, and I feel your pain with regards to complaining customers.

Yah...sorry we can't make it work. Man, we sure do love those bearings! But the new 10-ball flat bearings are pretty sweet too, so it's a win no matter what you use!

Can you ask the fellow who made clywmparison to add a bar graph comparing gap width? That'd be SUPER awesome

Gap width is mostly determined by the bearing. Pretty much all of our return tops have a gap between 4mm and 4.3mm. There are slight variations to accommodate different shapes, but everything is in such a tiny, tiny range that there's really no reason to compare them.

I've been finding it hard to find good advice on tuning my Chief. Does it have to do with adjusting where the axle sits? I've noticed changes in attitude when I tighten the Chief with the axle in different positions... Any tips or can you link me to some good tuning info? Thanks!

What are you trying to "tune"? The spin? The response?
If you're trying to tune the spin, that means something has gone wrong with the return top. I'm assuming this is an older run Chief, since the new ones are friggin' perfect. It's hard to diagnose what could cause the vibe on an older model...you might have a Fools Gold, it might have take damage to the axle or internal threading, it could be any number of things. Flat spot, one too many hits, someone sat down funny while it was in their pocket....who knows!
If you're trying to tune the response, make sure the bearing is clean and add only the tiniest bit of lube for protection rather than response. Switch to fresh Snow Tires, and make sure there is no adhesive build-up in the response cavity before you put in the new pads.

Are any CLYW players going to the scr contest in Denver?

That's Zach Gormley's stomping grounds, so he'll be there...not sure if anyone else is making the trip.

Hi there , I have another annoying question about wyyc, are you going to sell yoys there? more precisely Bonfire?

We won't have a table, but Slusny will likely have some stock.

u guys should make an underwater yoyo so it sinks and u have rims to make it float to add on so you can learn tricks slowly depending on weight?

Uh....

you guys said that you were going to revive an old color way. Which one is it, and will it be on the wm2?

Won't be on this run of the WM2...we'll make an announcement soon!

if i am too slow to get a wm2 on YYE, do you think i could be fast enough to get one on another website?

Maybe?
