what is the benefits of switching to a plastic yoyo from time to time?

The benefits of switching return tops has less to do with switching between metal and plastic, and more to do with just switching designs. I've long held the belief that if you switch around what you practice with, then you become a better play by virtue of learning to hit all your tricks on whatever equipment is handy. If you can hit it on any return top, you can probably hit it any time you want...which is the kind of consistency you want on stage. -Steve

Okay i know its not your job... but could you explain what Fist Salud is? I heard tessa became a part of it?isnt she with clyw? I went to the about section of their website but it wasnt clear as to what they do and who they are...they said they were some sort of a team.

Since you're asking me this, I'm gonna guess that you're young enough that you don't remember the big "everyone is on a team" heyday of the late 90s / early 2000s. There used to be a ton of yoyo teams all over the place, many of which had no geographic limitations. DXL Crew, Team Mysterious Raccoon, Team Tarkin, Team Chubby Lovin', team this, team that. Some were fairly legit, others were little more than a joke among friends.
Fist Salud has grown from this general ideal. It's a loose team of talented and influential players from around the world who have all been invited based on their skill and general awesomeness. Fist Salud is a fair bit more active than most previous teams like this, with a ton of video and social media content from its members.
It's not tied to any manufacturer, and the overwhelming majority (possibly all?) of it's members have actual manufacturer sponsorships. -Steve

When will the swirls colorway released?

Swirl Borealis (including the CLYW exclusive color "Oak Lodge" which I'm hella stoked about) are dropping April 28th at all CLYW retailers. -Steve

Ah, gotcha. He was using a clear Big Dipper. It was an early prototype. When a molding house runs test shots from a new mold, a good thing to do is run clear and a dark opaque color. The clear lets you see any issues with cracking or stress webs or air bubbles, and the opaque lets you see any problems with gates, parting lines, finish, and fingerprinting. So the first shots of the Big Dipper were clear and dark forest green. Not production colors. -Steve

I'd beg to differ on your opinions of the concept of a titanium bimetal. I've personally toiled over the concept quite a bit in my own time, and eventually made a few basic 3d models with my friend, and the amount of weight you can push on to the rims while staying under 64 grams is rediculous!

IS there a price increase for attending worlds? I know there is a steady increase for competitors but what if I just want to go and watch?

so I love the pick axe engraving on the fools gold throws, but I kinda wished it was reversed, the A grade throws have engraved pick axes and the FG do not wouldn't that save some money on the FG not having to pay the engraver? I feel guilty getting a FG but it's a great way to try more clyw throws.

FG have to be marked in some way so that people don't try to pass them off as perfect when selling or trading. -Steve

Would a bi-titanium yoyo be possible? How well would it work?

Theoretically, sure...you could add another metal to a titanium return top. Just not really much of a reason to do it, since titanium alone allows you the opportunity for some really extraordinary weight distribution. -Steve

Yeah, and the results are a mixed bag. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. -Steve

I think that doing blind fg drops is a great idea, there would be a lot less hubub, and a lot less people like me who do dumb stuff and go crying to you about it (sorry about that, by the way. This isn't the place for that kind of stuff.) I hope thein machining be clean, and your gold be unfoolish!

how many days does shipping take when ordering from the clyw store

Orders will be processed tomorrow and will begin shipping out on Tuesday. If you're in the US, you should have your order by Friday or Saturday. If you're out of the US, it could be anywhere from a week to a month, depending on how slow your country processes packages through customs. -Steve

So, I recently bought an FG scout, and today I found out a few of my family members bought an FG for me as a birthday gift... So, my question is, is there any way to have the one I ordered replaced with a sasquatch, or should I just have my first 3a pair also by my first two CLYWs?

Why dont you guys make more of the black bip bops then? Is it more expensive to make balck bip bops then your other colorways?

We decided to make it a super scarce colorway, which makes it really neat when someone gets one. Why would we change that? -Steve

If a yoyo is vibey to the point of being unplayable, do you still consider listing it as FG? Is it possible that you could by accident? What would happen if someone got a completely unplayable, for whatever reason, FG?

If it's unplayable, we won't sell it under any circumstances. -Steve
