Steve, just ignore those mean people. You guys rock and keep doing what you're doing!

Thanks! I'm not too worried. Mostly just confused about what some people expect. -Steve

So I saved up my own money from a summer job to buy a Chief and I was so happy to get one when they restocked. But my mom found out, screamed at me, smacked me, and took it away because it was a "waste of money". I think she's going to sell it on ebay and keep the money. :( She always does this.

Oh man. I'm so sorry. :( -Steve

What's the story behind 28 Stories? And how many are there?

Chris got the idea from this book: href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002STNBJS/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002STNBJS&linkCode=as2&tag=yo0dd3-20&linkId=P7VZWE56WG3G65FU
There have been a lot. Impossible to tell how many have been produced in various models. But each year, a portion of the proceeds from those are donated to Doctors Without Borders, a charity organization you should check out. http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/ -Steve

For the past month, I have asked EVERY SINGLE QUESTION ON THIS PAGE! I have wasted hours of Yeti's day, answering redundant and irrelevant questions! Don't worry, I change up my grammar and stuff like that, so you'll NEVER find out! (Muahahahaha)

Are there be Fools Gold Wooly Marmot 2s?

We haven't even finished production yet, and you're already hoping we have a bunch of rejects?
Man, c'mon. You guys are really bumming me out with this. :( -Steve

Record! No ding for 9month! Aaaaaaand I just got ding on my yoyo :(

Dings are good. Consider them battle scars. In most eras of civilization (up until the current one which is pretty namby pamby if you ask me), battle scars were considered admirable and beautiful. -Steve

How does one "tune" a return-top?

There are a lot of really tiny adjustments you can make...sometimes they change things, sometimes they don't.
- Change pads. Make sure you remove any leftover adhesive from the pad cavity.
- Bearings. Change 'em, clean 'em, lube 'em. Just leave the shields alone! People ruin more bearings by trying to de-shield them and there's really no reason to do it.
- Take out the axle and flip it around. Screw the axle all the way in to one side before you screw both halves together. Take it apart, move the axle to the other side and try that too.
Those are the most common things you can do to "tune" a return top. Hope that helps! -Steve

I like this page because you guys usually respond. But lately your answers have been kind of mean. If I wanted mean answers I'd ask YoYoFactory. Can you lighten up a little please?

First, I'm really not sure what you consider "mean"? I definitely get a little sarcastic sometimes, but I don't really ever get "mean" on here. When I'm answering a lot of questions I'll give short answers but it's not out of meanness, it's just a matter of brevity. Sorry if that comes off the wrong way!
Second, I really don't appreciate anyone coming here and talking smack about other manufacturers. These folks are our friends, and it's incredibly rude (and mean) for you to use our Ask.fm page as a platform to try and get in a dig on someone else. I've asked other people to stop, and I'll ask you the same. Thanks. -Steve

I want a chief, or a advance scout, or a fools gold bvm2 for Christmas... which one is the best one in your opinion? I don't care about if I like it I or if I like the spec, I just want to know which one you like best... choose one, not all of them :)

I've been throwing the Bear vs Man 2 a lot lately for counterweight. It's what I used at 44Clash, and it's been my go-to for the past month. I'm really enjoying the Scout now that I have one, but I'm still reaching for the BvsM2 a little more often at the moment. -Steve

When will the advanced scout release?! I'm going to buy one for myself for Christmas.

Not sure, but we're hoping to get them done soon! The patches have arrived, the box stamps have been ordered, I think they are done being anodized and are now being assembled. We're trying to hurry! -Steve

anyway you could put the month and year the throw was released in the Return Top section of the CLYW website for each throw? I'm fairly new to the return top community and i think it would be cool to get a timeline sense and see the evolution in your throws as you've profressed.

I don't even know if we have that information....narrowing releases down to a month might be kinda hard. We considered adding a year to the pages, but since some of these were produced for multiple years it's kinda awkward looking. Plus then we would need separate listings for different versions...if we just listed the Chief without getting in to detail on all the weights people would kinda flip out on us, ha ha. -Steve
