You guys should put double rims on a plastic, or weight rings as the double rim on the plastic, or make a bi-metal, with the double rim, as the bi-metal part
Support for overseas manufacturer. I am a great believer that every amazing company should make their products available to everyone. In this case, people's mindsets should change.People make Return Tops, not countries.
Thanks! -Steve
Feeling kinda stupid to ask this but.. Can one be a "good" CLYW fan without having the money or opportunity to buy the latest throws? I bought about every recent throw and don't have any money left now basically. So seeing those new Avalanches and stuff kinda hurts. I just want to support ya..! :(
Dude. DUUUUUUUDE. You don't have to buy a damn thing to be a great fan of CLYW. We appreciate each and every single bit of support we get from anyone, whether it's sales or comments or sharing our stuff on FB or whatever. Don't feel obligated to buy stuff from us. Buy what you can afford, and what speaks to you. And know that we really, really appreciate it. -Steve
When will you guys make a return top without any elements borrowed from old return tops?
You make it sound like it's bad for us to have designed things that we really love and that work really well, and for us to use them more than once. The Orca was a huge departure for us, design-wise. The taper on the rims towards the inner cup was taken from the Puffin 2 because we needed that specific weight distribution in order to prevent pulse vibe. The post...well, we needed a long axle there which gave us two post options and Harrison wanted the pointed one. Other than that, it's a very different return top. We have some design elements that we like to use. They are part of the character that we put into each design so that you know, immediately, that it's a CLYW product. We are always trying new things, although they may not be as noticeable as you like. But I guess to answer your question....not any time soon. -Steve
Is the next Chiefs coming from the same annodizers as the new Avalanches?
Nope, different anodizer. Still not our usual anodizer, though. -Steve
How's Yogi?
He was pretty good when I was up there. He's a good boy. Except when he's not, ha ha. -Steve
What does it take to become a member of team CLYW?
I feel like I answer this question twice a week, which means I need to just write up something for the site that I can start linking to. Be amazing. Be kind and talented and funny and smart and humble and motivate and supportive and smile a whole lot and create wonderful things that are bigger than you and set them loose in the yoyo community for the betterment of all. Be valuable and useful and be the kind of person that you look up to. That's what it takes. -Steve
since onedrop is moving does that mean there will be a break of yoyos being produced?
Yes, although not much of one since we have a lot of production that got backed up during ANOPOCALYPSE in December. We have plenty of product to get us through. I hope. -Steve
