Does CLYW have any new organic shaped yoyo's planned to release this year?

We've got a few ideas we're kicking around, but kinda doubt anything will be ready this year. Maybe we'll squeak something in right around the holidays. -Steve

I want to do a design jam sometime, like the Summit documentary where you and Shawn did the CAD work together. What would you think about a crowd-designed return top? Not like the CODE's where one design was picked, but where a bunch of designers worked together to defeat mediocrity? Open source?

That's kind of a weird way to put it, "defeat mediocrity". It's like you're saying the rest of the stuff they designed was mediocre and only by all of them collaborating can they make something worthwhile?
It sounds fun in theory, but the reality of something like that is that it becomes too many cooks in the kitchen. Great design never happens by committee...it's one person with that rare combination of talent and vision. A collaboration between two can work because they you get to have two designers combine their own unique vision and style. When you start throwing more and more visions and styles in there you are more likely to end up with something mediocre than something truly unique. -Steve

Bummed that the Puffin 2 is now discontinued. That return top had a lot of character to it and I don't think it lived long enough to retire it. Puffin 2 shirts didn't even happen :(

It's ok. All good things must end. You'll love the next one. :) -Steve

Hey! My favorite throw is the wm2 I love how chill it its. You know? How it kinda feels like if it were a type of music it would be old school hip hop lol. If you could describe your favorite throw with music what would it be? (Return top and style of music) thanks!

I like the Sasquatch. If it was music, it would be this:

How does your team form a routine for a contest? I feel that we should get some vlog style videos from the team members. Would be very interesting and helpful. Yes they're just like us who eat sleep poop repeat, but it could be used for motivation. Thoughts?

Building a routine for a contest is a fairly long process...not something that really lends itself well to video ha ha. Probably better to ask this in the CLYW FB Group, so that different team members can chime in if they want. -Steve

Lots of love to you and the CLYW family! 10000 questions and still working at it. All the integrity in all your products create a nice vibe to yall even to those return tops that do have vibe. From the moose to the raccoon thank you.

Thanks for the love and support! We really appreciate it. :) -Steve

Will there not be BBB Scouts?

You know what, we just totally spaced on getting those done. We'll get some done next time. -Steve

how does one create hype for a yoyo?

No idea. We try to focus on just making return tops that are so good they don't need any hype. -Steve

A titanium sasquatch sounds dreamy. Would be wicked expensive though. But I think after all the work you've done for clyw and us as fans and throwers, and all the work you continue to do, you deserve a Ti sasquatch. I can picture the box art being a cross between sasquatch and the silver surfer.

We'll get around to making a titanium return top at some point. It's on the list, but it's not a priority. -Steve

Next black bip bop release?!

Probably for Zach's new return top, but since we haven't even prototyped it yet it's a ways off. -Steve

Why don't you reprototype the bear trap but with fancy yeti plastic caps instead of metal caps?

Because we're just not that into it. -Steve

favorite flavor of coffee lol:)

Flavored coffee is the worst ha ha!
I'm actually a little bit of a coffee nerd. I have a Manual pour over set-up that I use here at home, and when I travel I bring an Aeropress and my own beans and grinder with me. I've been enjoying some beans from a local roaster lately, the aptly-named Cleveland Coffee Company. -Steve
