How does one make a routine then? Keep in mind that it is a talent show for my high school where anything I do will blow their minds :|

When performing for non yoyoers, the tricks we find simple are usually the ones that make the biggest splash. Like Eli Hops and Boing E Boing. There Gyroscopic Flop even. People love bangers and they won't notice too much if you miss a string hit. Just have fun. Smile. Think about: "What would John Higby do?"

Please please make them available I really really want to buy an Orca o might even buy 2

Orcas will be coming soon :) -Chris

What are some of the offstring yoyos the team uses?

I asked the team for you ...
Petr: Jetset EG and Gravity
Ayumu: I'm using YYR proto type "Glutton"! (they sold some at Hama-con) Also love Neo-Gaia!
Harrison: Jetset eg and ec
Hope that helps!
- Chris

Will the Orca be available at spingear by April 20th?

Possibly! The 1st run of solids will be sold direct. The splash anodized ones will be sold through our retailers. - Chris

Hey Steve! Could you give us a history lesson on bearings in the yoyo community, like who first thought of using ball bearings, or why C-Size bearings are the standard nowadays?

The first bearing return top was made by a bearing company just to show off their bearings. It didn't work well, but it was still the first. http://www.yoyowiki.org/wiki/SKF
The first legit bearing return top was the Silver Bullet 2, made by Tom Kuhn, and that was small bearing.
Small bearing was the standard for a while because return top companies mostly just like to copy each other, and since the SBII was a small bearing, everyone else just mimicked it. Either YoYoJam or Playmaxx (can't remember which) was the first to start using new sizes of bearings, larger than the standard. If I remember correctly, Playmaxx was the first to use what we now consider "Size C" bearings and once they had some success with it, everyone started copying them.
Small bearings stuck around for a while, well into the early years of YoYoFactory, and as an occasional release by player request (small bearing Bassalope anyone?) but have been pretty much entirely phased out. Large bearings are really what the bulk of current play was created on, and work the best for what we're all doing as players with the exception of looping. So, that's the standard. For now. -Steve
