what would be an average score for wild card round? Does speed provide an advantage in shorter length competition segments? (wc and prelims)

If you want an average score for Wild Card rounds, go look at past contest results for Wild Card Rounds. I'm not going to do your math for you, ha ha.
Speed definitely provides an advantage since you are ONLY being scored on technical and you only have 30 seconds. -Steve

You guys should do some colorway-ception with some of your yoyos, like the orca in orca, some scouting themed colorway for the scout, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion! -Steve

I just got a Borealis as a little surprise, and wow, just wow. I didn't like how floaty it was at first, but it really grew on me. Just gotta tell you guys how much I like it. Thanks for making a truly awesome Return-Twirler!

Glad you like it! It was a slow burn for me, too, but now it's become a daily throw. Chris and Zach know what they are doing! -Steve

Email thelodge@clyw.ca. But if you bought it used, there isn't anything we can do for you. -Steve

I also have a responsive problem with a gnarwhal

No, you have a responsive problem with a bearing. ;)
The CTX bearings in our return tops comes lubed and semi-responsive from the factory. We add a drop of thin lube during assembly to help break that thick factory lube down a bit and speed up the break-in process, but sometimes it can still take a while.
If you really want instant gratification, you can clean your bearing, add the tiniest bit of an ultra-light lube (like sewing machine oil, 3-in1 oil, etc) to protect your bearing and then run it. Or, if you would like smoother play and have some patience, just keep on playing with it and let the bearing break in naturally.
Depending on how much you play each day and your play style, the break-in process can take anywhere from a few days to a month. I personally let my bearings break-in naturally and I have found that once I do this they don't require any kind of attention or maintenance for sometimes YEARS. But manually cleaning/lubing bearings can increase performance in the short term while drastically shortening the overall life of your bearing.
Totally up to you which way you want to handle. -Steve

Hey Clyw, I'm having trouble fully understanding the scoring system for yo-yo league contest. I get some stuff like major deductions but other things such as clicks and technical evaluation are difficult for me. Is there any resource you can steer me towards that could possible help me. Thanks

What do you usually do with an odd number of fg halves in one batch

We have a small stockpile of them at at the moment. Will probably just assemble them eventually and then offer up the goofy-looking return tops as Fools Gold. -Steve

How do you guys answer these questions? Does Chris and Steve alternate or do you guys just go answer whenever?

We just jump in randomly, and if there is stuff to answer, we answer it. I'm in here the most, Chris jumps in when the mood strikes him. -Steve
