I'm curious what the intent of the Orca 2 design is. What is Harrison looking for in this return top compared to the OG Orca? The original is in my opinion the best all-around aluminum yoyo ever made. I can't imagine how it could be better!
The thing about signature models is that players' tastes, skills, and needs are constantly changing. Zach has gone through 3 designs, the most recent being vastly different than the first two. (Not counting the Big Dipper, just talking about metals.) Petr went from the Cliff to the Scout to the Compass, which was one HUGE jump, and then another fairly sizeable one. The Puffin has evolved a lot from first to second to the third version that is prototyping now.
The only thing you can really count on for signature models is that at some point, they're gonna change to suit the evolving tastes of the player they're for. -Steve

Hi Steve. Have people received the shift of some of your manufacturing to China well? I'm pleased to see the lower prices and that also some of your new models are loaded with Pixel bearings.
The quality has been great, it's allowed us to lower our prices and increase our production a little, and the manufacturing and communication has been 100% fantastic and drama-free. Can't ask for more than that, right?
Fan response has been overwhelmingly positive. We get emails every day from people who are really digging the new designs. I feel like this is one of the best design periods in CLYW's history...Chris is just 1000% on point lately.

Im afraid of buyijg bimtals because of durability...should i worry about it or just go ahead
The tradeoff is higher performance for potentially lower durability. I've got plenty of bimetals that have taken some really solid hits and still play fine, but I've definitely knocked a few loose as well. Monometals can take a lot more damage before going wobbly, but it'll still happen eventually. Just depends on what is more important to you, and how rough you are on your gear. -Steve

Go for a Kayak. The Dune is great but it's definitely a more "specific" feeling return top, while the Kayak I think will have broader appeal. -Steve
