I don't know if this has happened to you but with all the new 7075, bimetals and titanium advancements for some reason I am disappointed with a 6061 monometal yoyo. Do you think people are disappointed when a new yoyo doesn't abide to these new trends?

I've been getting more into guitar and less into yoyo lately. It's utterly ridiculous that I could trade a mint GE and Summit I haven't touched in half a year for a decent used Mexican Strat, and that people (including me) are buying yoyos for that much. Strange world we live in.
Not sure that I see how that's strange? The price of competition quality return tops is still lower than pretty much any other sporting equipment out there in the same quality range. And those Mexican Strats are an amazing deal...the quality is crazy good. Same for those Squier Telecasters out of Indonesia...top notch players! -Steve
Are you guys cool with it if I reverse engineer a Chief for a school engineering project? I'll machine one to evaluate myself, but I'm not gonna sell them, if that's your concern.
