Hey guys! I have a chief but I'm finding that my newer throws are playing better. I love it, but I think it's time to upgrade. Any suggestions?
thanks!

What's a good intermediate yoyo?
Pretty much any unresponsive metal in the $50 range will do the trick. I really like the YoYoFactory Shutter and C3yoyodesign Accelerator. -Steve
what contests were the fg advanced scouts given out in?
I sent some to Western Canada Regionals, sending some to the Virginia Beach Classic, and giving out some more at Ohio States. -Steve
my yoyoing skills are getting all them girls ;)
We really don't appreciate that kind of talk around here. Women are have been responsible for some of the greatest advances in all aspects of human achievement. They aren't something to be "gotten". -Steve
Any new DWI Collabs coming soon? Maiderade, zip zap rap, that new space colorway that was on the last run of orcas, or the Harrison hurricane fade (the super limited one that was on the last run of orcas) colorway on the tama would look sho dope! Just sayin' 😉
Nope, nothing planned. -Steve
just in general when you make a new yoyo I think you should still make all the cool color ways you do. but then make more solid colored yoyos then you do now.
just letting you know what I think would be good
Thanks for the suggestion...but I thought that's what we were doing? We do the entire first run in solids to help get them out the door quickly, and then do follow-up runs in our fancy splash colors with a couple of solids thrown in usually on the 3rd run or so. -Steve
Chuck used to do them. Mark Mangarin did his own. We hired a videographer local to Yuuki to shoot & edit his, and Ben Gates is working on the ones for Kurti & Maider. -Steve
All new CLYW wind chimes hand crafted by Steve Brown!
Ah, gotcha. Sorry, I didn't catch that. ;)Point still stands though...when you have one or two people collaborating you have the chance for something truly great. When you have 1/10th of a vision from 10 different people, all you're doing is taking an average. And that's pretty...average. -Steve
I heard somewhere that some colors of string last longer or are better than others, is this true?
For cotton string, sure. Because the dye really tears up the cotton and makes it brittle. For all the modern poly strings? Nope. Totally in people's heads. -Steve
