Is the Manatee a stable throw? Im having a hard time deciding which clyw will fit my style. I really want something wide tho for sure. Maybe you can help by possibly describing how it plays?
It's pretty stable for it's width, but the wider a return top the easier it will be to tip it over. So the Manatee will never be as stable as the Sasquatch. Make sense? -Steve
What are your standards for a yoyo/return top premium?
We try to produce the very best return tops that we possibly can. Play value, fit, finish, and durability must all be the best we can reasonably offer. -Steve
(asked this on yyf ask too) If someone were to leave your team, would it be possible for them to join YYF/vice versa? Or would it not be possible since itd be like leaving basecamp to rejoin basecamp? I'm curious as to what you guys think about that.. thanks!
We want our team to be happy, and if being sponsored by YoYoFactory would make them happier, and there is an opportunity there, we would hope that they would just be cool about talking to us about it and making it a smooth transition. Nothing but love. -Steve
Depends. Sometimes it's just someone who had a bad experience and is lashing out because they don't know how else to vent their frustration. For those people you have to really listen, figure out the root of their problem, and then try to solve it. There are also a lot of people who have a hard time dealing with something they love changing and evolving. It's tough because they are basically saying "You created this thing I love, but now I don't trust you with it" so it's this crazy intersection of love and mistrust and it's super hard to handle well. But we try, really hard, and I think we come out ahead most of the time. I hope. Then there are other people who just think it's funny to be a prick on the Internet. There isn't much you can do about them...they don't want anything from you except the satisfaction of hurting you. Those people you just ignore and hope they eventually grow up to be mid-level managers in dull, soul-crushing jobs that eventually kill them from the inside. :) -Steve
