what kinda differences does the shape of a yoyo make on your play?

Shape changes the feel, weight distribution, spin times, string friction, stability...pretty much all the attributes of a return top. That said, what shape you choose is still very much a matter of personal preference. -Steve

Im meant does form follow function in the return top industry or is just all over the place. Sorry for wasting your time earlier

"Form follows function" is just a general piece of good advice for designing anything. It's not specific to any industry. -Steve

Just a quick question, are there going to be future chief runs?? If yes, when will you guys be releasing it??

There's a run that is being assemble now. -Steve

The grey Bip Bip Bop Bonfire looks almost pink. Why call it Grey?

It's grey, but it definitely picked up some warmer tones this time around. Like we mentioned before...anodizing is a REALLY imperfect science, and you can sometimes end up with a lot of variation in colors. Still looks pretty rad, though! -Steve

How does the 7 summit play in comparison to the original?

I haven't tried one yet so I can't really give you any detail there. But *generally* speaking, when you convert an existing design to 7075 the overall weight reduces a bit which gives you a slightly faster return top.
7075 also handles Walk The Dog better with less rim damage....but considering that I'm probably the only person would would actually do Walk The Dog with one of these, I think that's kind of a non-issue for you ha ha. -Steve

Steve, with you being in the US, what challenges do you face in being so physically distant from the rest of the CLYW crew? What technologies do you guys use to make your job easier? (ie Google Hangouts, Webex?) thanks!

The biggest challenge is just keeping the communication open between myself, Chris, and Charles. But we've done a pretty good job of staying organized so far...Chris and I talk every single day via iMessage and email, and we all use an online task manager called Trello to make sure everything gets done.
Mostly I wish Chris and I were closer to each other because I just love being around the guy. It would be great to have him and his family over for dinner and just hang out while our kids are all cute and crazy. -Steve

yo what happened to the clywmparison?

There was a problem with the code that left it open to malware. :(
I need to email the guy who created it and see if we can get him to patch it up...but in the meantime we had to take it down so that it didn't become a security issue on our site. -Steve

Saw the colorways of the Bonfire on Spingear. There's a color called "Fixins". What is the inspiration behind this colorway?

It looks like mustard, ketchup, and relish on a hot dog.
Hence: Fixins'.

Sure thing. Just reply to your original Order Confirmation email and we'll take care of you, although you will have to cover shipping back to us. -Steve

can you give me some pros and cons to each of the following: v-shaped, H-shaped, and curved yo-yos?

It's all preference. -Steve

Gravy boat would be wonderful to get back again. I think many people would agree!

That's another CLYW colorway I personally really love. Thanks for the suggestion! -Steve

Please bring back the Wolverine colorway! In fact, wolverine ain't a bad name for a return top...

Maybe...thanks for the suggestion! -Steve
