Steve, is it true that CLYW are replacing CTX bearings with Ceramic KK bearings in future products. If so, how come? (I'm not against the idea btw). I've noticed other companies tend to use premium bearings for their expensive products so in retrospect, would this make CLYW return tops pricier?

Sort of. We are planning to replace the bearings in our metal return tops with stainless steel concave bearings. Chris and I haven't quite decided what to do about the plastics yet, but I'm personally of the opinion that we might as well make the switch to the same bearing for everything.
The CTX bearings we were using were already pretty pricey, so I don't think this would impact CLYW prices much, if at all. -Steve

The Blizzard uses the short axel but has the big nips. Sup with that?

Andrew really liked the look of the longer nipples, but our machine shop can't get imperial thread tooling and axles easily, which is the size of our long axles. So we switched to a metric thread, which is our short axle thread. -Chris

No it means if someone copied clyw's yoyo. Also if someone ask you to copy your yoyo and sell it its own country please say NO

Ok.

Chris, have you ever considered doing weekly 3-5 min vlogs to update everyone on things that are going on in the company? i.e. Orders you put in, new prototypes you're working on, release dates, etc? I think a lot of people would be interested in watching this.

A vlog would be kind of cool, but I'm hella awkward. Something I think I'd rather do on Snapchat. Starting after EYYC. -Chris

for real steve this noob is trying to get involved in the community... link them to the bst or something an quit bein a smartass

I've got one guy asking me about Deadpool, and another guy berating me for being a smartass. None of them are asking me anything that has to do with CLYW, which is the sole purpose of this page.
I simply cannot win. -Steve

If i make yoyo as same as clyw yoyo, what can you do for me?? (Not me, but i heard about this)

I'm a little confused on this one. Are you asking us to manufacture yoyos for you? Sorry, we don't do that. -Steve

What are some of the most popular yoyo groups / pages? I never get involved in the community so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Pretty much just this one. I've never seen anyone talking about return tops on the internet anywhere except here. Nope, never seen it. Just here. Just riiiight here. Don't look 'round, just stay right here.
Right.
Here.

Glad you like it, and thanks for the support. :) -Steve

Hi CLYW! Are you going to be selling the Big Dipper/New Yeti direct from your store as well as from other retailers?

Yep! Should have Big Dipper stock in our store soon. We've just been trying to take care of the retailers first. -Steve

I get the feeling you guys get a lot of hate on Facebook 😟 you guys should not be getting any hate because you're awesome, keep making those sho dope return tops please 😉

Thanks! It's all good. Sometimes people just need to vent, and for some reason they prefer shouting at strangers on Facebook to just emailing us directly for a solution to their problem.
It happens. I mean, it happens a LOT, but we try our best to help people out even when they are screaming at us. -Steve

Damn.. I didn't even realize I was salty on that matter. I at least haven't been to a contest this big, where even superstars attended. Looking at it from your perspective changed my mind. Crazy how busy those people are going to be. I guess I was just scared to be alone. Sorry for the ignorance..!

All good. It's frustrating from our side of things, when kids want to talk to you and want you to sign stuff and want you to teach them a trick and you're trying to be nice and cool about it but there are a dozen other things that you're supposed to be doing.
It's one of the tricky things that comes with being a sponsored player...the demands on your time at contests are a lot more involved. -Steve

You recommend kitty fat while your return tops use a centering bearing... Would you recommend a slightly fatter string like kitty xl/xxl for flat bearings??Thanks

I only use Fat Kitty, regardless of bearing. -Steve

A meet-and-greet with all the yoyoing "superstars" at EYYC? Wasn't expecting that the high class players are be treated like celebrities. Does that mean they're all super busy and don't even hang with the "mediocre" players at all? I already see I won't be able to talk to Ando-San normally... :'(

The contest organizers tried to put together something fun where new players would have a chance to meet their "stars". Because I don't know if you've ever been to a contest or not, but people are busy. Really busy. Alec is going to be running around shooting photos and video the whole time, and our team will be practicing, getting ready to compete, and catching up with old friends. You run out of time quickly at a contest, and often kids will come up and want to meet you and talk to you while you're in the middle of three things and you don't have time. You try to take a minute, but it's rushed and you really just don't have time and people get their feelings hurt because you couldn't stop and talk to them and then they jump on Facebook and tell everyone you're full of yourself because their feelings are hurt and really...it's just that you were busy. I've had kids come up to me at contests and want to talk to me *while I'm judging*, which is basically the worst thing ever for everyone.
So the organizers put this together to set aside a little time and give the kids a chance to engage, at a time when everyone can do it without distraction. I think it's a great thing, honestly. Maybe you need to reconsider your saltiness on this one. -Steve
