I don't know if this would work but you should mix corn starch and maple syrup. You will get a gooey substance. Then mold it into the shape of a return top and stick it into the freezer. abracadabra, a frozen, maple syrup filled return top.

I think contests are great, if that is what you're in to. I've had some of the best times of my life at contests, without actually competing. All depends on what you put into it. -Steve

I think it's about making stuff. Whether that's making tricks or making return tops or making kids into confident, capable, interesting people...it's all about making stuff. -Steve

How do I explain to a friend what yoyoing is about in a broad spectrum?
It's really no different than any other hobby/subculture - lots of online forums on various platforms, some established companies and a lot of tiny start-up boutique companies, lots of events of varying quality and scope, and It's a hobby for some, an organized sport for others. -Steve

Just get a camera that will shoot at least 720p, and make sure you have plenty of light. You can actually shoot really nice video with an iPhone if you have one. There are tons of YouTube tutorials out there...mostly you just need to put in the work. -Steve

I would recommend getting Canon Rebel camera. I had a T3i for a couple years and really liked it. I've also heard good things about the T6i. -Alec

Every single design is different. Some come together in a couple of hours and just *click*, others take weeks of back and forth with a player to get just right. -Steve
