how different is the big dipper from the borealis in terms of stability and weight i get that the material is different but is it really tilty in comparison or is it cool through longer/faster tricks

It's like comparing apples and popcorn. They aren't comparable at all.
Both are quite stable compared to similar throws, and their weights are close to each other. -Steve

Ordered 2 big dippers yesterday... The hype is real!!! Also I noticed that some pictures show green snow tires (not teal), will those be for sale?

All the Big Dippers come with green Snow Tires. I think we're getting more from the factory at some point, just not sure when. -Steve

next orca release?

I believe those are the next thing scheduled for production in Canada, but no timeline on that yet. -Steve

How much will you guys be charging for the bd's at can nats because of conversion rates?

Big Dippers are $35 USD, everywhere. We price everything in USD because that's 90% of our customer base. -Steve

I think the guy who said "really? Dry bearings?" Thought that you changed it because everyone criticized the pre lubed ctx

Nope, we didn't change anything. Like I said, sometimes the factory makes a decision for you and you don't find out until later. Luckily, all things considered, shipping bearings dry is a pretty minor thing. But we made it a point to let people know to lube them before they use them, and hopefully we won't have to replace too many bearings. -Steve

Hey guys ! I want to ask a question about the signature yoyos of the players , how can they feel that this is their yoyos ? I mean I feel that the factory just design the yoyos and the players don't design it . So what do you think ? Thanks !!

I don't know how other companies do it, but anyone on our team with a signature return top collaborates with Chris on the design so that we can make sure it's exactly what they want. -Steve

Picked up an emerald Big Dipper!! It said on the yye site to lube the bearing first. Was this passed down from you guys to do this?

Yes. The bearings came from the factory really dry...not what we normally like, but we found out too late to change it. -Steve

Big dipper is so cool!! But it arrived all scrstched:(

Oh no! Please contact the store you got it from and request a return and replacement. We'll make sure the store gets an extra in their next order. So sorry about that! -Steve

I laughed at the stores already reordering the BDs. Gotta love it. I managed to get one in the nick of time, about 10 minutes later they were gone. (Emerald) And I think YYE's server crashed at least once.

Not gonna lie, we LOVE helping stores find the weaknesses in their shopping cart software. ;)
Thanks for picking up a Big Dipper...we appreciate it! -Steve

Have any idea whats for grabs at the booth once Canadaian Nats cones around? Big Dipper? Bliizzard? FG?

Not sure what I'm bringing, but I'll try to bring a little of everything! -Steve

So, I have the option of either buying a big dipper today, or a second run yeti when it's released. Which would you recommend?

Get a Big Dipper. The new Yeti won't be available for a few months. -Steve

Will the Big Dipper be sold on your website? Is there any way to buy them directly from you at all?

Yes, eventually. We just didn't want to take traffic away from our retailers on the first launch...trying to take care of them! -Steve

Really guys... Dry bearings...just do what you think is right. Stop listening to the complainers.

Sometimes the factory makes a call that you would not have made, but it's a little too late to change it. It's ok, a drop of light lube in these and they play nicely. Or you can always swap out the bearing if you're especially discerning. -Steve

So what happened to their being plenty of big dippers to go around????? I had to go to several retailers when orders opened before I could get an order placed.

We're restocking everyone as fast as we can. Retailers didn't order nearly enough. We told them, and they didn't believe us...but then YOU voted with your dollars and they got the message pretty quick, ha ha. More coming really, really soon, I promise! -Steve

Blizzard at PNWR or no?

First we said yes, and then Andrew couldn't make it so we said now, and now it looks like he's going, so I think so? Maybe? Aaargh, I have no idea! Sorry! -Steve

are there going to be different colors for future releases of the big dipper?

Eventually, yes. But the thing about making plastic return tops is you have to make a LOT at once. Once it will only be these three colors for a little while...once we sell out most of the run we'll get another order in and it will be three new colors. -Steve

I have over 2500$ spent in yoyos and I'm only 14...help I need yoyo rehab 😂

Duuuuuuude. I mean...we appreciate the support and all but that's kind of insane. Maybe tuck some of that away for college, yeah? -Steve

Will there be BBB Scouts in the next run?

Good question. I have no idea. I'll have to bug Chris about it, but he's in Seattle for PNWR right now. I hope so? -Steve

I was happy to see you guys made enough Big Dippers to go around. Were they all assembled and tested by the team like the Yetis were?

We've kinda grown beyond that! These were all assembled and tested at the factory, but we've noticed that our expectations are higher than the factory, so we re-test everything before it gets packaged. So your Big Dipper has been tested twice...once in China, and once at our warehouse. Not by team members...we have a few guys who do part-time assembly for us and know what they're doing. -Steve
