hi can I put snow tires to the peak?

Yes but the groove isn't as deep as our current models so it might be tug responsive for a while until the pads break in. Use a KK or CT bearing. - Chris

Do you write your own gcode for machining, or do you use a CAM software to do it for you

We leave that to the professionals. We just do the CAD. But most shops we work with use some sort of CAN software, the geometry is too complicated for gcode IMO.

I forgot, I think you answered this before but I'm not sure. If I don't have time to get lube from yoyoexpert for my yoyo, what lube from the hardware store works? also will it make my yoyo responsive because I like my yoyo unresponsive. thanks :)

All lube is going to increase response, but improve the life and smoothness of your bearing. The trick is how much you apply. You seriously need less than a drop. I recommend no more than a drop or even a half-drop if you're worried about response level.
Light machine oils work well...sewing machine oil works well, as does 3-in-1 oil. -Steve

Hey, would you mind describing the difference between the scout, advance scout, and chief? Also what would the price be for the scout and advanced scout? :)

The Chief is a return top that we've been making for a while. We used elements of it in the Scout, but mostly just the rims.
The Advance Scout using the rims from the Chief with the profile and detailing of the Bonfire, with the Chief's hub. There is a sort of vestigial "second rim" set up inside the cup, but nothing at all like the full double rim of the Chief and other CLYW models. The changes that will be made in the final version of the Scout are minimal....a pointed hub like the Bonfire, and a slight change to the inner cup profile to push the weight inward just a tiny bit and give it a visual appearance more like the inner cup of the Bear Vs Man 2.
Pricing has not been finalized for the Scout, but the Advance Scout will, I believe, be around $125 or $130 and only available in a small selection of solid colors. The Advance Scout should be available soon...basically as fast as I can get them packaged. ;) -Steve

If it was illegal to call return tops "yoyos", then why is the company called "caribou lodge yoyo works"?

Sometimes you do things before you realize they're gonna be a problem, and then sometimes you have to drop down to only having initials as your company name in order to solve that problem. -Steve
