Any chance of something along the lines of Hot Fire Lava but with blue and another color (maybe clear, silver or a 2nd tone of blue)...call it Ice Ice Baby.
Kinda sounds like the Blizzard without the clear speckle.
Whats the use of the double rims on Chief and Puffin?
The secondary, internal rim helps stabilize the weight distribution to make the return top move faster and play lighter while still holding spin. Chris is a genius. -Steve
I've never had a hard time getting any of them to reject. The sharper profiles seem to pop the string out faster, while the softer curves seem to just sorta flop it out. -Steve
Ive played the 3d printed yoyo from fluid print dynamics and personally I don't think a 50 micron surface finish (which is about as tight as any printer can hold right now) is precise enough for a really good, smooth yoyo. But they're still fun as heck to play with!
Yeah, it's not a perfect technology yet. Funny thing is, for as futuristic as the whole process is, the end results is about the same degree of balance and reliability as using wood. Still really neat, though! -Steve
3 things 1. what was everyone for halloween? 2. http://www.kyostoys.com/ 3. it would be neat if you could make a thing where the community makes a colorway like the code 1 & 2 don't you think?
1. No idea. 2. That's not a question, it's the name of a website. And someone already asked about it. http://ask.fm/CLYWOfficial/answer/121543359424 3. We've already had the idea of bringing back an old CLYW colorway, and letting the fans vote on which one...now it's just a matter of seeing which one our anodizer can still do! - Steve
On 1:31 it looks like chuck is wearing a hearing aid on the yet august blueprint video
Not at all! The Chief plays a bit faster than the Bonfire, but the Bonfire is a little more stable and has the weight pushed further out to the rims. - Steve
what is your favourite thing lube? and what are the best non-yoyo-specific lubes that can be found at home depot, hobby shops or any such brickand mortar store? thanks clwy
I normally use the YoYoFactory thin lube, since I have a tube of it in my main case. I also keep 3-in-1 oil around. - Steve
I saw you posted Bonfire > Chief > Gnarwal 2 Where does the Yeti fit into that?
The Yeti isn't metal production, so it's not part of our regular production timeline. No ETA on the Yeti's, but we'll announce it as soon as we know when they will be ready. - Steve
Day 4 of having my kendama and it plays like a dream! Thanks clyw
