Bead blasted Chief... Think about it 😉

The Chief has pretty much always had a matte finish, although we tend to stay away from heavier blasts just to avoid problems with string cutting. -Steve

What's the most important thing going on in the yoyo world right now?

This weekend it was EYYC. -Steve

What would you consider CLYW's crowning achievement?

Lasting 10 years. I've been in the industry now for 21 years, and I've seen sooooo many companies come and go. I was looking through an old issue of Fiend Magazine (also gone) the other day and realized that nearly every single company that advertised in that magazine is gone now. -Steve

Hey steve How long until peak 2 comes back roughly? And Is there going to be more BBB peak2? That would be rad

BBB is only run once per model, always. No timeframe on Peak 2, got some other stuff ahead of it in the queue. -Steve

Can you talk about the navigator design? What's it inspired by? To be fair, I have seen any great pics, but it seems kinda shutter/expedition like.

Details coming soon. -Steve

When will you guys be releasing the next blizzard? I am looking forward for the new colourway!!!

Soon.

Is anyone going to EYYC?

Riccardo, Nuu, Alec, Maider, Petr, Tomas, and David will all be there! -Steve

How's the finish on the Kayak? Does it crush grinds like the Jackknife?

It's a really nice matte finish. Not sure if it's *as* matte as the newest run of the Jackknife, but it's close. -Steve

What models will be include in the fools gold drop?

We'll post a full list on CLYW.ca a few days before the drop. -Steve

I ask this every time you make a new bimetal, but now that you're making a monometal blizzard for andrew maider fans with limited funds, would you consider making a plastic Kodiak with stainless steel rims? I know a lot of people (myself included) would love a Tessa Sig, but can't afford the Kodiak.

No plans for any more plastic. - Steve

Hey guys , why are you very slow on uploading the new tutorials ?

Totally my fault. I'll get back on it next week. Sorry about that. -Steve

What's next for clyw?

We have a few new models in prototyping, and I'm working on streamlining the behind-the-scenes business structure of CLYW. -Steve

Do you know if you can fit snow tires into a skyva?

I don't have mine handy to check, sorry. But pretty sure they don't fit. -Steve

Did tessa perform at PNWR? Is she going to be at BAC?

I believe she competed in Prelims at PNWR. Not sure about BAC yet, but I'm guessing she'll be there! -Steve

OK this is an answer for the yeti2 slim bearing question, because steves answer is wrong. shorter axle will not work, the bearing seat sticks out too much, a slim bearing in the yeti2 cant screw together all the way - ive tried. yeti2 would make a great throw for 4A, if it could take a slim bearing.

Very good point...I hadn't checked that since I didn't have a Yeti handy at the moment. Thanks for letting us know! -Steve

could i put a slim bearing in the yeti 2 or would I also need a shorter axle? I just think it would play crazy fun responsive.

You would definitely need a shorter axle, although I'm not really sure what size you would need. Not something I've ever messed with. -Steve

do you know if there are any players on Chris's radar when it comes to possible sponsorship?

No one at the moment. -Steve

Will the new borealis me a remodel (like the ac2 for ac1 / puffin 2 for puffin) or just minor tweaks

Not sure, actually...I'm never really involved in the design process. It's totally between Chris and Zach...once it's finished I'll get to see the design and Chris will walk me through what they did. -Steve
