What's your favorite SPYY yoyo?

Pure! If you got a good one, it was an absolute marvel of Return top engineering. After our failed attempt at a metal return top with caps (Bear Trap), it made a good Pure that much more incredible.

I like to beat the finish off everything that CLYW makes. I have a offstring trick called "Make the collectors cry". It's amazing.

Chris, how do you get that subtle, warm and friendly "buzz" into every spinning clyw model? It's as if the return top is saying "hey, I'm down here on the end of this string doin' stuff, ya feel me?" Is this an intentional engineering feat, or shamanistic voodoo?

"Subtle, warm, and friendly" is the Canadian way, my friend.

Do you have any plan releasing return tops in Latitude 53 colorway, especially on 2014 line-ups?

We tend to decide on our colorways once they hit the anodizer, or just slightly before. I know this is gonna ruin our image as total return top masterminds, but we tend to just sort of feel it out as we go.

Are the next three models gonna be new, or a 2nd edition of an existing return top?

The next thing we're working on is a new return top for Petr Kavka. Totally new design. After that - no idea.

We always want things to be better, and for us that means not resting on our laurels. We're glad the last model turned out well, but we're always more concerned about the next one, and the next one, and the next one....

Thanks! We're super grateful for comments like this...we really do go out of our way to only release the best return tops possible, and we appreciate how much people support what we're trying to do.

How much do Bip Bop black yoyos retail for, they always get sold out and I never get to see the price. And how come it cost so much, is the process of anodizing it longer ?

The process is kind of crazy, and takes a long time. And it's hard to get the results looking really good. AND we don't do many of them because we just like those to be super limited.
We only do the Bip Bops once, for the very first run of a return top. They're kind of a celebration of a new model.
Retail price varies by model, and how many we make.

Im a beginner and im having issues with getting a really straight breakaway...any tips?

Practice, practice, practice! And really pay attention to the angle of your hand & wrist when you release. See if you can film yourself from the side, and throw a few dozen breakaways, and then watch the video to see if you can spot the problem.

I see similar specs between the peak and the canvas, do they play similarly?

I think it's safe to say the Canvas plays a lot better. They're both pretty "classic" shaped return tops though, so for the dozen people who have sent us messages demanding a "Peak 2", we made it; it's called the Canvas, and it's discontinued now too.
Ooooh....I think I just made things worse, didn't I?
