why does chuck have the string tied to his middle and ring finger?

He has some nerve issues in his hand, and wearing the slipknot that way helps alleviate some of the problems that normal return top play can cause for him.

Any more BVM2s coming out any time soon?

Chris is sending me the last of the BvsM2 for the BGradeYoYos store, and that will likely be the last of that model. It's a really nice return top, but we'd rather put our resources into other directions.

Why does the Nebula on instagram look like pink/blue instead of red/blue? By the way, pink/blue Nebula would be rad.

It's red....but shades vary slightly from run to run.

You guys should make a colorway that's like, um- clear! But not silver, you know? Like, like not nickel or shiney, or silver, but just... Clear. You know? Like no colors, but not like, you know... Just clear. That would be totally rad! You can call steer clear!

Do you have any Washington players that are sponsored? I live in Washington and was hopeing I could learn a thing or two.

No one up that way, unfortunately. But PNWR is in that area, and I know there are some great players around there. Have you tried asking around on the YoYoExpert forums to find other local players?

You would suggest getting the Bonfire instead of a Scout for a first CLYW?

Well, you'll be able to get a Bonfire in a few weeks. The Scout is gonna be another couple months. I've had a lot of time with the Bonfire and really like it, and I don't have a Scout yet. Hard to recommend one over the other when we just finalized the design of the other, ya know?
Personally, I'd suggest getting a Bonfire and then seeing what you think of the Scout when it releases.

Didn't Nebula Puffin 2 come out in the last run? I've only been back into Return Topping since about the last Bonfire release, but I've yet to see you guys run the same colorways back to back in different runs of the same model. (Not a complaint, actually excited to get the chance to get one!)

Yep, it was in the last run.
It's a colorway we don't run that often and people were asking for it....we don't have much in the way of rules when it comes to which colors we run and when, we just sorta feel it out!

How dramatic are the changes to the scout? The one I saw yesterday was good

Pretty minimal. We changed the post from a Chief post to the Bonfire post, and we ditched the Chief-style inner ring in favor of a simple step.

I think I want a summit, but I really want my first "CLYW experience". So to speak. Should I get a Summit now, or wait for the Scout to truly experience what owning a CLYW is like? Which has that lodge mojo? Does the Summit play more like a One Drop?

The Summit is a collaboration with One Drop so it definitely has elements of both companies...it's not going to give you a pure One Drop or CLYW experience.
If you're looking for a full-sized return top for your first CLYW, get the Bonfire (coming after the Puffin 2). If you want something faster and a hair smaller, get the Puffin 2.
