Do the smaller boxes used for the Big Dipper, Manatee, and Compass mean anything from the larger 3x3x2 boxes?

Is there some sort of taboo on darker colored yo-yos as they tend to appear less prominently in yo-yo videos and competitions.
They just don't show up as well. Not "taboo", just practicality. -Steve
I got a pixel bearing and it was playing responsive. I played it for a couple hours and it still played responsive. I put a small drop of lube on it and played it for an hour. It is still responsive. What should I do?
I'm told that hitting it with a few drops of lighter fluid, spinning it, and then letting it air dry is the best. -Steve
Hey I'm about to be 18, and I still have a lot to learn before I can ever think about becoming pro. Is it too late for me to strive to be a pro player? Also what do I do to progress? I tend to keep doing the same tricks over and over and I want to be great. Like Yuuki and Zach, etc. great.
I didn't start playing at all until I was 19, so you're not too late. :)
As for progressing...it's all just putting in the work. Push out of your comfort zone. Try new styles, play responsive, make mistakes and see where they lead you. -Steve

Beginner models need way more rim weight and snappier response. Intermediate models are usually in-between, like unresponsive plastic....they play like pro models but are way cheaper and don't have as much precision. -Steve
